Good video. One thing I noticed (super nit-picky here), is the mention of the lubricants. The new Dye lube is no longer DOW-33 based. They actually went with a Versilube product that is both slicker and has some better cold-weather performance. Both are obviously sufficient for their assigned task. I really enjoyed the intelligent discussion vs how some channels are doing these. :)
A gun that costs that much should come with a full Manuel without question, planet just knows how to take care of their customers with the manuel and rebuild kit that has everything to rebuild every piece on the gun.
Freak system on amp is hands down better than dsr barrel , you can buy 3 more inserts which is basically all you will ever need for price of one back on dye gun .
The DSR is such a good shooter. Get the Flex upgrades and it shoots so much better. And I still have my DM9, it's been 11 years no issues with the eye pipe so far.
@@PunishersPaintball yup still on the OG eye pipe. Just have to make sure any barrel backs have the no.017 o-ring on them to prevent them from over tightening, a lot of people who cracked their eye pipes really loved cranking on their barrels. After that just updated the orange detents to the newer red detents and it's good-to-go. For owners of older DM's make sure you move to red detents, since the old orange ones would scratch your bolt over time, which will eventually wear down the effectiveness of your bolt sealing.
I bought a DSR new and hated so much, it was very inaccurate and busted paint a lot, then bought the flex parts and tuned it... NOW ITS A DIAMOND 💎 Also bought a new reg and turned it down to 400psi. Haven't busted a ball since 15k shots later.
@@atracin @punishers paintball - same here. Been using a Reflex Rail 2011 and still on the OG eye pipe. They break when people over tighten the barrel, dry fire and it can pop out, but otherwise zero problems with the pipe. Works as advertised
With the Flex can and NASA bolt, the DSR is a way better shot. I Shot an AMP this weekend and it feels really similar to the Luxe X. At the end of the day I say creature comforts go to the AMP. But the shot quality at this point is splitting hairs and user preferences.
Lol idk this is just my opinion (keep in mind both of these guns are great. Nuff said as started in the vid) my biggest thing is actually the barrel. I’m a huge shocker fan (preferred the way the dsr shot more tho over the xls ironically over the past year or 2) I wanted to address something more specifically. I think that the Shocker amp sounded louder isn’t as much as the amps engines fault (which I still think is abit louder by default over the arc bolt) but the barrels tho, I own a boomstick and I can tell you right now that putting that old as it is barrel on a lot of freak ready barreled guns (luxe, shocker) quiets the shot of the marker right down. I felt a small difference even putting a boomy on cs2s cs1s and 160rs. So conclusion, I think that the Amp sounds louder than the dsr mainly bc the freak ready barrels have more of a tinny hollow sound by nature and the resonance is probably louder. Unlike UL and boomsticks alike are precision honed to be quiet from the get go. Don’t believe me look at some old videos of boomsticks being put on old empire axes. It quiets that chatty gat right on down imo. So keep that in mind if you they had put the dsr’s barrel on the amp and vice versa, both guns would have completely different sound signatures, albeit the UL barrel sounding the most quiet regardless of which gun it’s on. lol alright thank you and cudos for bearing with me on my rant if you’ve read this far.🤷🏾♂️😅💯
ya the luxes and cs2s that I have owned have more of a flat shot basically the ball just goes straight vs. the shocker kinda lobs it basically which is fine just takes some getting use too. punishers pb rocks!💯🔥
Amp slightly wins because the Dye asa. It is really close considering the dsr is several years old and the amp is new. Both shoot very nice and feel great in the hands. The dsr shoots like a geo 3.5 and the amp shoots like a luxe x. A better comparison will be the amp vs the dsr 2
Poly o-rings are for short term heavy usage the life expectancy is 3 to 5 years wear as normal buna can last over 10 poly can go bad simple sitting in a air tight sealed package

And we appreciate the tidbit about the new lube! Thank you!

Love the UL frame!!

So you’ve never had to replace that eye pipe? That says very good things!

User preference is definitely always king with products like these!
Both great markers... I think the DSR shoots like my Geo 3.5 and the Amp feels like Lyxe X
I need to watch this

shocker shoots super nice got my amp out and played with it and it definitly has more of a "drop shot" compared to like a luxe or cs2
Really? That’s a good point! Thank you for the data!

Best paintball barrel
So which one is better ?
yo did u contact everyone from lvl?
Yep tried calling yesterday!
why would you need a chart with o-ring size when it's already color coded....
So they know Wich I ring is woch
Dye or die
@@___meph___4547 Shame on you 😤
This guy is really saying the dye barrel is better because it's quite...
It's also the most accurate barrel ever made and has been around longer than anything else.
Poly o-rings are for short term heavy usage the life expectancy is 3 to 5 years wear as normal buna can last over 10 poly can go bad simple sitting in a air tight sealed package
Very informative, thank you!
color coded orings are usually garbage
dye used to make good markers atleast.
the m3+ is on par with cs2 for best marker out there lol
