    The June Montreal date could work, but I'm not sure how comfortable Formula 1 and the FIA would be to almost 'share' the track with NASCAR where traditionally their Canadian GP is Mid-June. This years race was on June 18th.

    • @Ofitus21
      @Ofitus21 Год назад +3

      To share track with the FIA you need for said series to effectively agree to be a feeder series to F1 that week. That means everything from teams using different paddocks and having to adapt to F1 pit lanes, to FOM controlling the broadcast and trackside advertisements. No way NASCAR would agree... A June 23rd date sounds way more reasonable for Nascar (2 weeks after F1, so the track is already set up and ready to go)

    I’m all for bringing Rockingham back, but if that doesn’t happen, what about making Bristol the All Star race? It is an SMI track and it’ll help keep them on the schedule twice- which is also good since it’s a playoff cutoff race so it’ll get drivers a chance on it earlier in the season.
    Bristol Spring is always kind of a low ratings race- but if it’s the All Star race, that could really help bring eyes onto it for the earlier Bristol. And honestly Bristol is a fun race with good bumping and banging which under the lights could be great for an All Star spectacle.

      @Kartkid024 it's a 3 year deal with promoters option for all of them. @Kartkid024 there is talk that nascar will put the schedule out before January, with it tentatively on it, having the Daytona road course as the replacement if it's not renewed in January. Since nascar owns Daytona, and nothing is happening that week at the track, they can easily make the change. It would be hard to have a different track on standby, since nascar is based in Daytona, they'd be able to pull it off the easiest.

Sonoma Raceway gets a lot of money from camping and would be unable to have camping. Plus, the places to park are mud and hard to get out of. We also get rain that time of year. I think if they keep Bristol Dirt, they should make it a night race. I think there should be more night races. And even a more surprising twist would be to make unusual tracks night races to test them out under different conditions.
    I was thinking making all the short tracks night races since I've really wanted to see a Dover night race but I was also thinking about making one of the road courses a night race.
    They did the Clash at the Daytona RC before. Maybe COTA or the Charlotte Roval.
    Another fun one would be since Daytona has a day race in the 500 and the night playoff race, one of the Talladega races could try it out. That's the long-shot that will probably never happen but it would definitely be a wild night.

    2. I personally don't see Rockingham coming back that soon, maybe 2025 or 2026. So if they cant, lets give the fans what they want, and head on back... to Chicagoland Speedway. I feel like the Next Gen car will give us some of the best racing yet on that track.

At least until NASCAR fixes their short track/road course packages, I wouldn't want to add any more road courses. Also, there is no way around it, the off week will 100% have to be during the Olympics. NBC just will have way too many resources tied up in Paris, best to take the current off week and throw a race in it, maybe Montreal, then move a different race into that slot that would have interfered with the Canadian Grand Prix. If that makes sense lolol.
