I believe the reason is because people were sick of eating just grain porage in the medieval ages or some shit so the church skewed the meaning of meat so they could eat fish.

That Bible verse 1 Corinthians 15:39 is taken out of context. It simply was saying there are different kinds of meat or flesh and was not distinguishing that some are meat and some are not. But the full context the writer was talking about a heavenly body after the believers resurrection and the earthly body here on earth. Shame on the Catholic for not explaining things clearly or in a understanding way for the common folks.
