    I love this format! I was able to follow along, pausing when needed. The only suggestion I have would be to identify each color along the way. Some colors were identified, but others were not and I struggled trying to find the color based on my guess according to the video. Overall, I really loved this and appreciate the time you have invested in this level of instruction! Thank you

    Thank you so much for offering such quality content! Up until now I have primarily used charcoal and graphite in my work. I have been grateful to so many amazing artists on here, but you more than most have really demystified for me how to approach adding color into my art. I really appreciate your careful breakdown of all the minute yet crucial technical aspects that are involved in making masterful art. I’m so happy I found this channel. I hope your platform will continue to grow as the value you’re bringing to the artist community deserves wider recognition. I will share with all my artist friends. I hope as well that others like me who have gotten much out of these videos consider donating within their means. It takes time and effort to make high quality resources like this freely available. Such artists deserve their peers’ support and to make a comfortable living.

    Thank you, Lana! this is amazing art work, and very informative tutorial. And yes, I would like to see more of these kind of videos, like how you do drawing on simple subject with limited set of color tutorials. Would you mind to list the color (name or number) you use, I have smaller (24's) set of FC Polys and intend to grab some Derwent pencils for start.

    You’re well on your way to dominating RUclips one video at a time! I learned a lot from this format and always greatly appreciate when artists are willing to share their entire process. Now do I expect you to do everything in real time, of course! I would love it! But I would never find the time to sit down and watch them all the way through. So just keep mixing it up like you do! Focusing on one thing at a time is a great way to learn! But throwing a real time video in once in awhile will be a lovely treat! Thank you Lana!

    Thank you so much for this video - I’m so grateful for it!! 🍁 I was able to happily follow along, and really appreciated learning about techniques like feathering, layering techniques, etc., which I intend practice with my future drawings 💛 I’m quite happy with how my leaf drawing turned out - thanks be to this tutorial. Is what I drew perfect? Absolutely not but that was never the point for me. Am I okay with that? Absolutely yes. Most importantly, I’m slowly re-building my drawing techniques after putting it on the back burner for a long time and finding a sense of my joy and satisfaction, as I improve and learn along the way 💛

    Hello Lana. This tutorial has been so helpful, really. I’m a new artist and quickly gravitated to realism but there isn’t a lot of content out there that gives this form of art significant tutorial time. I enjoyed your attention to all the nuances realism requires. Please please do more realism tutorials. You’re so patient, knowledgeable, and your results so realistic. I could easily learn from you.

    Hello 👋🙂. I usually like your shorter videos, but I liked your long tutorial here even more. It was full of informations. I think it is a great new format that you could do more in the future. There are people like me who understand a lot better how things work when they have access to the full process. I have a suggestion which is also a request, somewhat : would you please do similar tutorials with other subjects as focuses (like people or animal portraits, for example) ?
    Other than that, I really like your art and your approach. I really like your artistic decisions also, as they allow you to draw realistically, but in your own way. Seeing your end result next to your subject is a treat for the eyes. Thank you a lot for all the help you offer, and see you 😊 !

    I'm new to coloring pencils. I worked with acrylic and watercolors before. And I love to start with coloring pencils now. ...so it is a new creatieve adventure for me. And right away I have a question. Although it is off topic. Is it possible to use watercolor for painting a background in a colored pencil drawing? Can colored pencils be used on top of a watercolor painting?

    I have a question:
    I do botanical art like you- which colored pencil set is better for such kind of art?
    The derwent lightfast set of 100 or the caran'dache PABLO set of 120?
    At first I thought the lightfasts, cause of their creamy Buttery consistance, but they are also be able to hold their point (I heard) - but then I saw their COLOUR RANGE! And even they are 100 colored pencils , there are so few LIGHT and BRIGHT colours, the most colours are muted and in the darker range... and thats also VERY BEAUTIFUL , but is it the RIGHT choise for a botanical and flower artist?
    The Pablos -I dont know much about them, only that they are firmer then the lightfasts, near to the polychromos. And there colour range is MUCH brighter.
    What DO YOU personally think?
    There is a big sale at the moment, so the time to decide is running of 🙈
    You would be a Real help!!

    • @LanaGloschatArt
      @LanaGloschatArt  6 месяцев назад

      Hey Nina! I am sorry for the delay. I wish I had seen this earlier. I am a derwent pencil fan for sure. I haven't used the pablos as much so its hard to compare them but most of the botanical art on my channel was made with lightfasts and I have been very happy with the color range. This set seems like a decent deal, though not a huge sale. amzn.to/3VOkT4D
