Amen🙏🏼
Yet they still didn’t let her go to church 😭
😂
Lol okay.
@@Sisima13 They all ended up going. Then the mom decided she wanted to start going again.
Her parents should only be mad if Bow is sneaking out to the Church of Scientology.
Yo fr 😭
LOL right.
why scientology in particular. All religious beliefs are weird to those that don't believe them.
@@splitpitch Because Scientology is a cult that manipulates its followers. Many investigative reports and eyewitness accounts have proven this fact over the years.
@@tyrannosaurusburke I'm sure they do, but my point is every religion can be said to 'manipulate their followers' to some degree.
People that paint ALL religious people out to be a certain way are no better than the people they're condemning.
That's true, but you can criticize religion without criticizing all religious people. Sometimes good people are mixed up in bad things. Especially if they were born into it and brainwashed their whole lives.
There are bad people in all walks of life. The funny thing is some of the most intolerant people I have come across are staunch atheists. The type that refuse to show any human decency towards religious followers.
@@icarusgotooclose please don’t used brainwash that’s is a very strong word
@@heavenleigh8273 not all religious people are brainwashed, but some religions definitely practice brainwashing, especially ones we identify as cults and especially towards children.

While other kids were sneaking out of the house going to parties or meeting boys, Bow sneaks out to go to church. Wow! her parents really have it tough! LOL
Plus she became a doctor
Meeting boys Isn't a problem !
Everyone rebels, she was rebelling
I’m really glad that at the end of the episode her dad apologized for how he was being and her parents both realized that it’s not wrong for believing something different I’m glad this show has that balance and actually makes the characters realize when they were wrong
I agree. I personally think faith is a very personal decision and you should experience it For yourself before you make a decision. You can get other peoples opinions but it ultimately Hass to be your choice
Honestly instead of freaking out, they should have talked to her about their concerns but knowing Rainbow, trust she has her head on

So the people who were in a cult are close minded about church, fascinating.
Cult? I don't watch the show, what cult were they in?
@@rachele.3229 some kind of jim Jones type cult, then it got shut down.

Well.... That's not surprising actually.
1. They got burned and therefore want to keep themselves and their kids away.
2. They're still believers in their old cult, church is therefore wrong...

Bow trying to tip toe out the back door is sending me 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🙈💯

For people that are so free thinking isn't it strange that they don't allow their kids to explore these things with them.
Actually a lot of parents do but a lot of times kids follow their parent beliefs and some don’t. My mother gives all her kids the opportunity to think however they want as long as we don’t disrespect other ppls opinion

Yeah, I'm a life long atheist and this is idiotic, I've a bunch of friends of various religions, if she wants to go to church, what's the harm
As long as Bow isn't like me as a teenager then her parents are being ridiculous. My parents were religious just not the churchgoing type/fundie type.
I know I’m over generalizing, but I feel like people who grew up religious and leave the church care more about this than atheists like you or I.
I really pray you find Jesus cause He's Amazing💕
@@bunzigiyebyumamyriamgrace1135 considering the christians i've met, doesn't seem to make much difference
@@andyt2k that's honestly the worst thing. I'm a christian and sometimes with other Christian's i wonder if we worship the same God 😞 the judgment, sideways looks, and snide remarks makes me wonder if they think believing in God puts them on a high horse and makes them more "holier than thou". They do God and the faith a disservice and are actually the ones desecrating the meaning of being a child of God.
I gotta tell you though, don't let imperfect humans ruin the Perfect God. We're humans and by default we make mistakes. Through God we get mercy and forgiveness for our mistakes and if we truly let Him, he helps build us up to be better and make less mistakes, but He also humbles us to know that our faith doesn't make us better than others. Some "christians" forget this part. I pray that one day you'll meet a group of Christians wherever you live that will truly reflect the person of Christ and that you'll be able to open your heart to knowing the Perfect God❤

@@knm505 That statement is only important because you’re a believer. To a non-believer, you might as well be pulling lines out of old episodes of Star Trek or a cookbook.
Also, there are some really gross and creepy lines that can also be pulled out of that book.
@@knm505 I respect people’s right to believe whatever they want. But there are gross and creepy things in that book. I’ve read it multiple times. Raised in a Christian household.
What did David give Saul in exchange for his daughter’s hand in marriage?
In Numbers 31, when the Jews attacked the Midianites, Moses was angry with his generals for taking to many prisoners. According to Moses, only ONE group of people was to be spared. Everyone else was to be slaughtered no exceptions. Who was the group that was to be spared and why?
The answers to both questions are objectively gross and creepy.
@@jaycol21 Hello! I am not a christian, but i know that alot of things won't make since because it was taken out of its original language/writing. Alot of things will make more since if you do a word and culture analysis. But you have to be willing to, hope tis helps a little.
I'm about to watch my church livestream in a bit! EVERYBODY needs Jesus, it's no joke.
"From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”" (Matthew 4:17, New King James Version)
Truth
Yet another "you need Jesus because Jesus says you do," just like ever other cult leader in history said.
Matthew 16:28 says:
Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
-That was thousands of years ago (if you believe the story). So, apparently Jesus wasn’t infallible cause those people are all dead and you’re still waiting.
I spent my childhood hearing about Jesus. I got no use for the guy or his dad, who is a CREEP.
@@jaycol21
I wouldn't go that far - that's not relevant either. Let's not bring in a broad-ranging religious discussion into this eithe rway, when (as I pointed out) none of that is relevant to begin with.
@@elbruces I don’t know that it’s irrelevant. A god that, for some reason, needs you to believe in him to get some cosmic reward may very well say the exact same thing as a grifter.
So, how do you distinguish between the two? Hence the poke at the infallibility.

Unless you’re wrong
It sucks because often non religious people feel excluded by religious people.
Little do they know most religious people feel the exact same way.
The trick is you need to be respectful of their religious beliefs, and religious people need to be respectful that they don't follow the same code of conduct as them.
Dad was a hockey coach for a few years. there was once when we went to one of his games. he told me, in front of my older brother, that if i snuck out and went to church he'd spank me. I did sneak out but didn't go to church. I was scared that if he found out i was outside he would assume I went to church and would spank. I was 15. I've never told him

I'm a christian, the best decision I ever made. Don't let these kind of shows tell you otherwise.
truth
Exactly.
The show said nothing of the sort; the conflict of the episode is that the parents have to come to terms with her trying out Christianity.
I hear what you are saying loud and clear. From the music they put out nowadays, to the TV shows, and movies they are always trying to steer people from a relationship with Christ. They act like they are being harmless, but they are not being harmless at all.
It ended with the mom deciding to go back to church on a regular basis.
The floor boards creaking....loooooolllll
Most kids in the 80s snuck out to get to the movies but she sneaking to church XD
i really wish hulu was able in my country this looks hilarious
Lmaooooooooo this had me WEAK!
It's like I want 2 watch the show, but I just don't know. I didn't like Blackish at 1st, mostly because of Dre..but I saw a clip, started watching because of the other hilarious characters, and Bow is one if them.
This is mixed-ish tho not black-ish
It's waayy better than blackish. It's funnier. Blackish gets kind of annoying and the dialogue can be really cringe sometimes though it does have its moments. But you should totally check mixed ish out
I like this show better than blackish. Its funnier and rainbow and her parents are more tolerable.
Dre is a little stuck up. I really don't like his or his mom's characters.
It isn't Blackish. The same people are not even on this show. This is about Bow's coming of age story. It is really good.
Pastels, Rainbow? Paraphrase from "Addams Family Values"
That did from Morticia Addams was hilarious
I’m crying “why do you keep doing this”😂😭
Good show
Bow looks so sweet
Can’t even lie never saw a scene a kid getting in trouble sneaking out to go to Church ⛪️. Glad I saw this scene.
Why are they keeping her from going to church they should let her explore.
good things coming for me for being the 1000 like
They should allow her to go to church
This is how Ive raised my kids as they are still young I want them to always feel like they have a choice no matter what it is whether clothes hair or food and they should respect other people choices no matter if they don’t like them or don’t agree cause they have just as much right as anybody else to choose how they live and as long as what they believe in isn’t hurting anyone else then I’m fine with it but they shouldn’t force it onto others also it’s a great parenting idea not to make your kid do stuff cause they shouldn’t feel like they don’t have rights they didn’t choose to be born they didn’t get a choice in that so they get a choice when they are born it’s unfair to make your kid feel like they can’t speak up about stuff they dotn like cause your child is still your equal they are not beneath you even if you are their parent yes you have authority over them and they need to listen to you when you ask them to do something but if they feel a reason not to let hem explain and then explain your reason why you agree or disagree they don’t owe you anything and it’s sad lots of parents fail to realize this stop telling these kids I put this roof over your head and I give you food to eat that’s your job you don’t have a choice you need to give them food cause you had them planned or not their here now it’s to late to not take care of them
But they wasn't giving her a choice though.
@@ladennayoung2939 I’m talking about how they never forced her into church growing up or forced anything religion on her
Y’all why is her mom sooo lightskin in blackish
bow's mum in mixedish and blackish have two different personalities
Well, it's a thirty year gap.
You will eventually change in 30 years, if not, there's a problem.
Same for Bow, her at 13 and her in Black-ish are very different.
Yup. It's because they want her to be the crazy mother-in-law on Black-ish but be the responsible mom in this show. But those two character archetypes don't mix and as a result, her character as no consistency.
Yes some people change but you don't go from being a responsible, pragmatic, and strong-willed mom to the floaty, undisciplined, and outsider in your older years. It doesn't make sense and it's because the creators of each show wanted her mom to be different character.
If she wants to go praise God then let her praise God!
And the irony is that kids try to sneak out of church. And before people start hating me, the pastor is so boring the only reason I go is for my mom. Plus she said that she'll help me pay for my college tuition if I go to church
She can't take her shoes off to walk on a wooden floor? Or even use the second exit of the house? Or even a first floor window? She really is bad at that
Yep.
I don't think the parents are doing the right thing forbidding her from going rather than just educating her, but i do get how it would be super upsetting if your kid started messing around with religion.
Though tbh they're hypocrites because they were in that cult. Though maybe being in the cult helped them realize how bad religion is.
Some children don’t even know who is Jesus
@@tiktokvideocompilations5810 not in the US, you can't swing a stick without hitting a Christian church.
@@icarusgotooclose idk why but this was rlly funny bae😭
Everyone is religious. The difference is in how much you want to delude yourself into thinking your thoughts are original.
Like you said "super upsetting" instead of very upsetting. Literally not surprising at all. I can also almost guarantee you use the word "folks" rather than "people" when talking about LGBT or social issues.
We are all every single one of us members of an intellectual tribe with an overarching outlook on life. From the ingroup language and terminology we use, to the presumptions we hold when trying to figure out moral issues etc.
Being anti religious is just you being bigoted about your own secular religion.
@@themistoklestheodosopoulos6253 that's just incorrect. I've heard this weird argument tht lack of religion is a religion before but it doesn't really make any sense. A religion has things it believes in and ways it practices. Saying you are not religious is a statement of lack of belief, not of belief. People who are not religious often also associate with a statement of belief, like people who are spiritual or agnostic or secular humanists.
Thats also not how bigotry works. You can't be bigoted against an idea, only against people. If i was out here saying all christians are bad people, that's bigotry, but saying you dislike Christianity is a statement against the ideas and practices of a faith.
Like drug use. If you said 'anyone who smokes cigarettes is gross and disgusting and stupid' that's bigotry. Saying cigarettes are bad is not bigotry. Do you get it?
When did I ever say i thought my ideas were original? I've never heard of the word super being associated with stereotypes before? And you're saying it's associated with being not religious? Can't say that's my experience, seems more regional/cultural to me, but good to know that's how some people see it. No i don't use the word folks, really at all, and don't really understand what you're getting at.
Religion is more than just 'this is what I think'. You'll notice i talked about it being upsetting if they were getting involved in religion, not if they believed anything at all.
I'm also not sure I agree with you about the intellectual tribes thing. Some religions are so spread out that the way they are practiced in one part of the world or within one sect bares little ressemblence to another. Similarly I'm pretty sure a secular person in mongolia thinks very differently from a secular person in Brazil.
The mom is so beautiful
