This guy has just the voice to educate, I also find these videos oddly relaxing
The way you caressed the rear of the spokes of your big red rims was magical.
Do you even take swirl-prevention measures when washing your wheels, bro?
Yes guru, since my car has painted clearcoated wheels, had to pamper them nearly as the body
I have mate black wheels, 15 mins each wheel for get it done and safe
I am ot overly precious but my latest car has years worth of old wheel balance weight adhesive, what is the best way to remove it please?
@@stevencurtis-rich4178 Goo Gone and possibly a PLASTIC Razor Blade but only if necessary.
My wheels look like they were dredged up from the bottom of the ocean (thanks, 22 years of winter road salt /s). Putting swirls onto them would probably improve their appearance.
I love the work he does but man his voice is so calming.
Who on earth gives a thumbs down 👎for these great informative videos? Probably the same people that drive around in their dirt caked contaminated cars and vans with 'Please Clean Me' finger written on the rear window or door panels of their vehicles.
dallas paint correction😂🤣
*Car Cleaning Guru uploads a video*
Me: *"Ah, lets learn some car cleaning and vocabulary skills"*
And controlled breathing techniques.
I have found dish washing brushes to be perfect for tire walls, they're the perfect balance of not being too rough to end up scratching the rim but sturdy enough for heavy scrubbing. And they cost a fraction of what a tuf shine tire brush does.
But they do scratch.
@@Macron87 to be honest a microfiber barrell brush could scratch a soft clear coat on wheels if the microfiber wasn't 70;30 blend. Same with a wheel wash mitt, if it ain't 70:30 it could scratch
can't beat a Tufshine brush, as used by myself, 1000's of others and Joe himself in the video. 😁
@@Mogsy28uk I got mine for around 5 pound, it is y really expensive
This is what i love about your videos good straight honest advice no messing no faff

Personally I use the following tools for cleaning my wheels:
- Stiff bristle dishwashing brush for the arch liners, tyre sidewall and sometimes the barrel of the wheel, if it is already in a bad condition.
- Soft bristle dishwashing brush for the brake calipers and on in the gap between the tyre and the rim.
- Paintbrush with synthetic hairs, for the nooks and crannies at the base of the spokes, on the brake calipers and by the lug nuts.
- Microfiber noodle-style washmit for the bigger areas.
These very cheap and readily available tools serve me quite well.
I might completely miss the point, but what is the amazing ability of a "detailing-brush" compared to a decent quality paintbrush?
As always, I really enjoyed the video. Keep up the good work!
Definitely my favorite RUclips channel is this 👍
Excellent timing with this video, Guru. Fitted my new wheels two days ago and definitely want to keep them looking fresh.
Finally getting a job this summer so I can afford some proper detailing tools. I hate seeing my mum take her vehicle through the automatic car wash.
Better get a DA as well to get all those scratches out from the auto car wash
@@filipprucnal yea might as well do it the right way.
What a time, was desperately waiting for guru's video and in the mean time what can you do besides watching old guru videos and hopefully learning cleaning! 👌🏼
The original car cleaning guru. Another great clean.
I love your videos. I find washing my car cathartic and having some excellent advice along the way makes it even more so
Always look forward to your videos, this is a big help for me! Currently using Bilt Hamber Wheel Cleaner with pressure washer then a microfibre between all the spokes.
Amazing job👌
Can you please make a video how to wash all the towels you had use during detailing.
Thanks
Excellent video as always :) What's your thoughts on a spritz of fall-out remover after washing and rinsing to remove any embedded metal particles from the lacquer, followed by a final rinse?
A'ight there pal, would you consider a video comparing various products e.g. a few snow foams and shampoos and maybe APC or something, would be interesting to see provided you have a subject to test them on
Thanks for your car washing tips videos! Watching in Florida USA.
I was just in the market for a whole new wheel washing set and you have given me all the more reason 👍🏽
You should also move the vehicle forward or backward. You will be amazed to see the bits you have missed 😉
That depends on the wheel
The Guru doesn't miss...😂
Yes I understand what you mean i always do this because the brake discs on my wheels are huge, so the barrel brush struggles getting around the caliper.
The wheel brushes are worth the investment. I have the same wheel woolies and similar black rims.
Super helpful video as I'm about to get my completely refurbished and painted wheels back and on my car
Great VID as always!
I hardly bother with my wheels in autumn, winter and spring because living in the UK they get dirty 5 minutes down the road from driving through a puddle or some kind of dirt on the road, I only properly clean them in the summer.
Hopefully now that winters over well get more videos from you !
Two a month is about as good as it gets for my vids I’m afraid!
@@CarCleaningGuru That's not good enuf... lol
The tyre squeak is the give away its clean.. top job lad🙌
I like your attention to detail
great job. Can you do a video of how to clean properly a classic bbs wheels please? 🙏
WoW, perfect timing G, just got my Ultraleggera's delivered this morning. Gonna C5 them tomorrow then on the motor on Friday. Some good pointers here Guru 👊🏾
I’ll be using this for my Halfords clip on rims 😉
mind and use marine cable ties (metal), so they don't get lost/stolen.
Good timing with this one, I just got new alloys two weeks ago.
Just what I needed a Wednesday evening:)
So much satisfaction was had with this video. Loved it!
The Red Alloys are amazing. Some really great shots of them all tidy there. Although I can't stand a dirty car, If the Wheels and Windscreen are clean I might just ride in it.
Brilliant stuff Joe keep up the good work m8 🚘👍.
Excellent results 👏🏼
Great video - "cack handed" - a proper midlands term! ;-)
& Yorkshire!
Guru is from the Wirral
Great job GURU
Thank you for another fantastic video. How do you feel about wheel sealants?
Another great video..😋😎 what would you recommend for newly painted wheels to protect them as I'm getting my wheels back in the next few weeks?? Thanks Joe...👍🏻
top tip for rims is just wash them as often as possible, the longer they go unwashed the more crap gets on them and the more ingrained they become.
Great video!
What about the iron removal part? and should it be performed after initial wash or after?
That comes during the proper clean/polish/protection job that you do prior to regular maintenance washing like this.
@@CarCleaningGuru I see what you are meanning but let me rephrase myself, I was referring to the iron removing from the wheels, I know some suggest to spray the wheel dry and some suggest to spray over a wet wheel to reduce marring.
Thanks again!
good video i bought myself a set of those wheel woolies they are pretty good
How do you clean your brushes and other gear after use?
Awesome as usual 🥳
Beautiful color rims. Thanks!
I appreciate the extra gunk you accumulated for some of the shots in the vid 😂
Nice, Guru!
Need to get my wheels off ready for a summer shine up and re application of ceramic. My volk racing wheels are hard to come by now so need to be kept on point
Good detailing, if the wheel is in a dire mess do you ever just remove and clean?
Can you do a video about trim care and how to wash hard to reach areas. Been having difficulty with weird angles and places in the car that collects water and don’t have a blow dryer
Nice vid guru
0:43 I'm sorry but how did you get your car this dirty? have you been driving around in a field just to make a point?
standard winter road conditions in the UK, cold, wet, manky/dirty, road-salt and full of potholes!
@@Mogsy28uk that's very true. You make a good point. Plus I guess it's just a sign that he's been enjoying the car and taking it for a good drive, rather than just potting around town at 25 mph
How do you polish chrome wheels? I have Chrome BBS Wheels and they dont look like chrome anymore
Curious if difficulty in cleaning was factored in to your rim choice?
Happy coincidence but if I had a wheel where the rears weren’t easily accessible that would definitely do my head in.
Can you review a range of products from different companies like Dojo Juice or EZ Car care or OnItsArse
Thanks for the product information.
A well tidy set of alloys!😎
Love the recap of steps at the end. Only thing missing was the warning that there will be an exam at the end of this lesson. 👍
I use to be able wash my car in 15mins and yes... with a sponge!! Haha but your the reason I now have an arsenal of detailing tools and products and dont even think twice about spending a lot of my money on cleaning products and equipment and it now takes me a good hour or so to clean my car every time. It's like an addiction lol. Learnt so much from your videos and my car has never looked better. 👌
Your brave driving that Lowe on these roads in the uk dude the pot holes are a killer
awesome. great video. your videos are very helpful
Badman is back!
Perfect, just about to do my proper spring wash to get ALL the salt off!
Can you tell us how you clean the wheel woolies/barrel brushes after use? How to look after them so we can extend their lifespan?
Thanks in advance.
First vid of the year...
Guru, is the Nismobile still wearing a coat of Fusso Light or have you put something else on for spring? I noticed some nice water beading going on around the wheel arch area.
That's a good reference.
I wash them clean too.
Are your wheels ceramic coated ? I have diamond cut wheels which really need good protection, so thinking of taking them off and coating them
Hi mate I washed your video what wheel cleaner do you use and where do you get it from mate
I use those scrubbing brushes to clean the tire.
They're cheap and small enough and the bristles are stiff enough to clean the tire good, but you have to be careful not to let the bristles touch the rim itself
Get some very strange looks from the neighbours when using compressed air to blow the water from the wheels & other places of my car but hate drips/dribbles when washing my car.
Fuck them mate. Bet their cars are dirty. Nothing wrong with having some pride in car cleaning, I’m the same.
Exactly what I say to my misses when she asks what the neighbours must think. Fook em.
Really? I don't get any looks at all, but then again I am a mobile detailer and I guess I "look" the part lol. I do however get strange looks when I use a leaf blower to blow off the big panels when wet.
You should see the looks I get when I use my Toro leaf blower to dry my car.
The people around me are more verbal when it comes to their objections to me cleaning my car. I think they are jealous of something.
1:12 is that some kind of nozzle mounted directly on the pistol of your Kränzle? If so, where can you find it? Is that an official Kränzle part?
Guiness & CCG! Oh yeah! 👍
dilly dilly😂
Bro your a awesome detailer but I feel you should also do voice work for audio books ! Keep up the great work !
Going to use this method on my 20s the weekend :)
What tire shine do you recommend? Everything i use doesn’t last and ends up splattering all over my fenders and side skirts
Try CarPro Perl diluted 1:1 with water. Had no issues with mine and lasts a few weeks
Last week, a dummy in a wagon, (coming the other way, on a narrow road ) wanted me to go up onto the kerb, so he could get through,,, yeah, like that's gonna happen, with my pristine alloys,, !!. I just sat and waited, till he backed up, and I could drive safely through,,,
Strangely,, he seemed a bit annoyed,, !! Lol,,
Great video btw...
Just had a look through your equipment list and dambbbb it's all expensive 😂, but you get what you pay for so fair play
Theo best GURU Thanks
Those rims are nice they remind me a lot of the “verde axis v99” rims
Beautiful big red rims you have Guru and a lovely job you did too. You deserve a beer on me.
Top quality video mate
Holy moly I didn't expect to see all that dirt up the side when you panned over lol slackin boy ;)
Might want to invest in some locknuts for those shiny barrels
Do you think a brush like an EZ-Detail brush would cause some scratches and swirls given the nature of the bristles?
On darker gloss wheels yes so a wool or microfibre type brush would be best however sometimes the barrels are so neglected a softer brush won’t do much and an EZ or similar are required.
@@CarCleaningGuru Thanks for the reply. I did think that was the case, especially on black coated rims(cause the scratches would show up more). Best option might be to have the Wheel Woolies for newer/cleaner barrels and the EZ-Detail style ones for very dirty barrels.
awesome vid pal love your work
Enjoyed the video q👍🏻
English are very Educated People. Great Video.
How always a great videos.
Joe looking good lad
My 15" black steelies gonna look FRESH
Birds love it when your rim is clean 😂
How comes you didnt do fallout products on here? shampoo wont remove iron deposits?
Spent more time on one wheel and tire than I do on my whole vehicle lol. Looks perfect though.
How do you deal with the rust building up on the rotors? Because on my car they usually get really rusty after a wash and when im driving later it gets on the freshly cleaned wheels
Immediatly after drying you car drive forward and backwards 10 times and the rust is gone. Or use only Wheel soap no iron removers or something like p&s brake buster
Great job!!
Useful tips right there
Nice rubber bands for tyres.
