For stopping the edges of foam tape, or even stacked cardstock, from catching the shaker bits, I just use a soft paintbrush, either flat or round type, that I dip into some baby powder. I've done this for years to remove static from storage envelopes and acetate sheets. I made my own anti-static pad as well for stamping before heat embossing. I can fill and replenish with baby powder as needed. So cost effective. I do like that wand thing, just like a mascara tube. I bet I can make something similar for myself.
Throughout I’m thinking wow, beautiful finished card but then you sweep in with, “now it’s time for ___” and step it up further and further and further. Bravo as usual.
Always inspiring watching you create. Thank you for another great tutorial, so many wonderful tips and tricks. Really enjoying having an anti-static tool for creating shaker cards, I picked up that same This Calls For Confetti tool a few months back and it really is great. Loved all your gorgeous shaker cards in this video xoxo
These papers are absolutely gorgeous!!!❤ I love woodland animals and beautiful wildflowers! Your cards so so lovely! Very excited to see this!!!❤❤❤ I’m happy you are feeling better!🩷🩷🩷🥰🥰🥰🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
Looks like you had such fun making these cards Jennifer! They are all so very cute! Thanks again for all your great tips and ideas! So appreciative of you! Glad you’re doing well and hopefully your shoulder is healing quickly!🩵
Jennifer, these cards are so fun!!! 💖 I love that you took an unconventional die, like the trees, and turned it into a shaker card like that! 👏❣ I giggled so at your spilled shaker contents (!!) I usually end up wearing mine. 🙃😂 Thank you as always for sharing your creative vision with us. When watching this today, I realized that there's a distinct possibility t I would never make a card if it weren't for you and others sharing your talents. 🤗💕
These are all absolutely beautiful…love how you always show us different options on creating your cards…what beautiful sets too. Those Stockings and Birdies are just adorable…Thanks Jennifer…happy you are feeling better 💙💙💙
This video has made my day!!!! I have all of these awesome sets and am so excited to try these ideas out. Shakers intimidate me but now I get it after this video. Thanks Jennifer!! Have an awesome day ❤❤❤❤
Hi , I have been following you on RUclips for such a time now. And I find you so easy to watch you demonstrate everything with such ease. I used to enjoy making my own cards but been struggling lately and finding motivation non existing at the moment. But seeing you vid I might this year create some of my own Christmas cards again. Maybe 😅
These are so fun. I always wanted to try to mass produce shaker cards for Christmas but I think I would have to start in October. I too love to putz to add all the details. The only problem with that is it takes time. But boy do I love these cards. I’m going to look at my dies and see what I can come up with. Thanks for this fun video.
Cool cards Jenn! Thank you; I’ve started adhering some sequins to the upper parts of my window’s background so not all the sequins fall to the bottom of the window. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!🎉❤🙏🏾☮️🕊️🦃🥧🥰
I love all the cards! I really like to make shaker window cards! How do you always manage to have the perfect coordinating envelope? Did you order every color? Thanks!
Hi Jennifer. Love love love these ideas! On the Joy to the World card, the banner itself: how is it stacked so the the ends look 3-D? I can't tell whether the ends are accordion folded or just cut and glued flat. Thanks.
Thank you for this video! I struggle with shaker cards so these are great ideas and tips. QUESTION: you mentioned if we didn’t want to add the little circles in the tree (using this card as the example) we could just add a different colored cardstock behind the tree so the color showed through. Won’t that make it thicker on that one tree? I hope this makes sense lol
Those little birds though.,,,🥰😍🤩
You've hit a homerun again, Jennifer! Precious!!

A good idea, except I avoid talc, so if the baby powder is talc, not baking soda, I'd switch out the talc-based product.
Cornflower is a good option 👍
Wouldn't a cotton swab dipped in cornstarch work? Do I really need to buy another tool?
That would make it smell pretty too, if it wasn't locked behind acetate.
Those foam eye shadow applicators would give you the same effect I think.
I love these shakers! 🎄🫨🫶Hope you’re feeling better each day! Sending healing love and light!✨🤍🫶
Just a when I thought I was going to bed……the perfect nightcap!❤️
Oh my goodness, I just adore the first card!

Throughout I’m thinking wow, beautiful finished card but then you sweep in with, “now it’s time for ___” and step it up further and further and further. Bravo as usual.

Jennifer, is there a refill for the powder wand? Or can you fill it with corn starch. Fantastic cards. Love from Belfast xxx ❤❤❤

Yes, but not much
@@jennifermcguireink thank you!!
Why didn't you use the die cut for the top layer of your single stocking shaker instead of fussy cutting it out?
The stocking die would cut out the center of the acetate
