Hello from the Future . Just bought TP1 at extreme discount on Steam and while having loads of fun with it, am gobbling up all the good ol' playlists covering it I can find . Thanks for the playlist, am looking forward to watch, and learn .
Well I mean if they said Boston, Oregon, I can't really fault them for that as they'd be technically correct considering it as a coin toss that deem it Portland instead of Boston. Lol. Why not Boston, Pennsylvania at that point? haha
So looking forward to this coming out. Not that long ago got into Train Fever after first watching your A-Train series. Was desperate for the ability to drop off goods etc at locations for onward movement. Like the idea that can perhaps make regional distribution centres supplied by trains and then truck routed to the final destination!! My inner traffic planner is most pleased!!
I've just found you by searching for gameplay of Transport Fever and subscribed immediately. I like your voice and good explanations. So good to find a you tuber who is not screaming at you. I'm looking forward to this series . I watch videos not streams.
Thank you so much for these transport fever videos good sir I’m new to transport fever and any games like this and I found this so useful I have seen all your videos and now I don’t go bankrupt as often this is a really great series thank you :)
Hi Colonel I was feeling nostaligic so felt the need to check back in here very close to where we originally kicked off. Still very enjoyable & informative!!
I always take the full loan from the start, that way you can build up big and fast and if you do it right you can have the loan paid off by 1900 or before and be bringing in a beautifully huge profit
Shame, I'd hoped you'd go into the custom map options more. This map doesn't actually seem any bigger than the ones in Train Fever, it's just longer and narrower.
If you play the 1:1 style you get a nice large map. 27 cities I think. For Train Fever I believe large was about 10 cities. I think the choice of 1:2 and 1:3 is a nice touch.
I think the ability to zoom way out gives a misconception of the truly large scale Transport Fever brings to the table. So many cities always left with so many ways to start. Love it so far.
just wandered in and thought I'd watch a while! enjoying your style and pace so far! FWIW: as a resident of a community that is within a few miles of Simi Valley, the correct pronunciation is "see me".
Your voice reminds me of Alan Rickman's a little bit. Also, very nice start to the series. Though in regards to your example station setup, wouldn't it have been more economical to make your line pass closer to the town and set up an additional station? That way you could just offload the construction materials on the way back, thus saving more time and money, as you wouldn't have had to have built all of those wagons. Just a thought.
Nice video's you got. Im one of your newest subs and your video's are perfect. I think we need more youtubers like you, and i think you deserve alot more subs. PS Love your voice! ;)
Just gonna point this out but go back to when Los Angeles first pops into view. There is a patio area with large deck sun umbrellas. Yeeeah, those weren't around in 1850 lol I will correct the good Colonel here a bit, he said he doesn't advise using a metric ass ton of road vehicles at the start. I have a very successful method of using several metric ass tons of road vehicles (Passenger) at the start of the game in which you will make 100 mill+ (Debt repayed) within 15yrs of gametime. And, it works on ANY map....
Having come to your video stream just yesterday. I really like them. I have been watching another U tuber. Although OK, he tends to use a sledge hammer to crack a nut, if you know what I mean. Should be getting this game in the near future. Have been sat on the fence for a while but having watched it grow I really like it. I did play Transport Tycoon back in the day. Recently Openttd. I do hope they improve the signaling in this game.
Great intro to starting a new game, thank you! I've always been cost conscious in Train Fever, this looks like it might test my patience though :) The new map sizes, the goods chains, the asset placement options, it's all looking good and I approve of the new colour scheme for the UI and, especially, the ability to colour own vehicles! One question if I may ... does the catchment area shown when placing indicate the delivery area as well as the pickup area? In Train Fever you could place cargo terminals almost anywhere and the AI would do the 'last mile' transport of goods - is that still the case or will it only deliver within the highlighted area ... oh, a secondary question ... are there station upgrades to extend the catchment area?
Might be me, but in the description it links to the 2000 game Traffic Giant. On RUclips Gaming. That is annoying as it doesn't show up in the Train Fever channel there.
Ook! [I doubt Boston Pensylvania is the town they were aiming at (and yes, there is one - population 0.5k. I would say they were after the Great Tea Party in Massachusetts.] Eek! [YES!!!! 20 minute rule is gone.]
Colonel, I want Transport Fever. When will it, and where will it be available for purchase? I spent 2 and 1\2 days watching you play on youtube. I'm hooked, please reply soon because I'm ready to purchase, Thankyou.
Yippee! Home Sweet Home ... It's oh so nice to go travelling, but it's so much nicer to .. erm .. do something to other .. occasionally, if in the mood., rather than have a cup of tea. ;o)
Honestly too soon to tell. Right now it feels about the same as current Train Fever - the last patch for that game helped a lot. Late game, large map however, I have no idea.
Using the train to take the goods on the way back and deliver them by truck to the destination? Nothing new, would do that all the time in Train Fever. And starting with trains would be the thing I would do pretty much every time. I would connect 3-4 cities with a double-track and while sometimes it didn't work out, usually it would pay out in the long run. Not sure I'm a fan of the catchment area, it feels too artificial. Also did the stone quarry produce stone even though the construction materials line wasn't done yet? Does that mean the demand-system is gone? That would be a shame because it actually made sense, unlike the old ways of dropping cargo at a factory in the middle of nowhere without any use for the produced goods (Transport Tycoon, Locomotion).
Unused raw material suppliers fill up their output hoppers even if there is nobody using it. Whether this is transported invisibly to other areas or not I don't know, but it doesn't seem like it.
Industries demand resources untill their buffer is full, so you can have cargo transported before finishing the entire chain. But if the produce doesn't get shipped, it won't run for long, so you definately still need to complete the cargo chain.
BlueRosse Gaming you need buy it, but if you have train fever you can get it for 15% off, and if you buy it before november 8th you can get it for another 10% off
I have a station that is like an end, doesn't have 2 connections, the other stations has 2 connections, one the rail the second where you buy the railways. Also it's like a weird picture, it displays the line it as straight, and theres two blobs on there - the two stations. The animation looks like it should be a circle on the tracks.
I have to disagree, as Oregon is the best. We outcasts truly make the entertainment and interest of people rise, plus, we're happy to share trees for hugging anytime. }:^)
No, everyone knows the Lone Star state is the best state. Always has been and always will be... This map reminds me of West Texas, either along the Rio Grande River or the Pecos River... All that is missing is the prickly pear cactus...
Right now I think I got a tiny expansion to Train Fever at the cost of a new game.. another words ripped off! I'm still looking forward to getting ripped off and I won't cancel my order nor will I return it. But even with the planes and boats this is nothing more then a slight expansion of the original game at a great cost to the user.
I disagree. The expansion to goods alone is worth the price of admission. It's personal opinion, obviously, but I paid for Train Fever almost 2 years ago, I don't mind paying a re-up for a greatly expanded take on the same thing.
I would prefer they called it what it is an Expansion to Train Fever. and added there price based on that. it is using the same train fever engine. with many bells and whistles added cough fields cost you how much to build a road thru choke. instead of a repackaged game under a new name. Civ is at 6 now. They don't give it a brand new name at every release... But if you feel your playing a brand new game be my guest.. like I said I bought the game I won't return it and I will play it.. but I sitll feel ripped off. its not new play they just added cosmetics in the form of planes and boats that are running on the same engine as the trains are. BTW great stream today to bad I got there so late I ended up watching most of the recording on twitch.
There's a balancing act to pull off - longer sections of track tend to be flatter, while shorter ones are cheaper. There's room in the world for both approaches (particularly when my lazy tendencies shine through).
You sir, have one of the coolest voices ever, just adds to the fun of watching your videos.
Hello from the Future . Just bought TP1 at extreme discount on Steam and while having loads of fun with it, am gobbling up all the good ol' playlists covering it I can find . Thanks for the playlist, am looking forward to watch, and learn .
November 8th cannot get here fast enough. I've already bought it.
I can't wait!!!
Go Away sorry hit the wrong poster with comic assholery.
3:26 Boston, Pennsylvania! XD It's Boston, Massachusetts for you Brits.
Yes, with hindsight I am indeed a fool.
Its Boston where We decided we will leave the house of our parent country GB..n live in with a chik. ;)
You haven't just accepted, you've embrace it!
Well I mean if they said Boston, Oregon, I can't really fault them for that as they'd be technically correct considering it as a coin toss that deem it Portland instead of Boston. Lol. Why not Boston, Pennsylvania at that point? haha
like you americans know your european capitals :P
Looking forward to whatever kinda series you have planned. Always a pleasure to watch Colonel
Thanks Monte. I'll be following your progress with interest.
What an immense pleasure to hear a man voice within pc games videos instead of the typical kid who ignores even its existence in the world.
Welcome aboard.

You're not likely to encounter me yelling "BANTER" into the microphone, that's my guarantee.
As soon as I saw the steam announcement that you tubers will get it today, i just rushed onto your channel and found this video!!!
Thank you so much for these transport fever videos good sir I’m new to transport fever and any games like this and I found this so useful I have seen all your videos and now I don’t go bankrupt as often this is a really great series thank you :)
New to your channel, and loving your personality. Similar warm cozy tea/coffee evening tv feeling as some others i frequent as well.
Does the time always have to move that incredibly quickly? Having months pass for just one delivery on the train route seems unrealistic and annoying.
SON. OF. A. B#&*@!!! YOUR VOICE! Subscribed.
Hi Colonel I was feeling nostaligic so felt the need to check back in here very close to where we originally kicked off. Still very enjoyable & informative!!
Best commentary i've seen on Transprt Fever yet.. Keep it up CF
/FoXX
Many thanks!
Cant wait to see the North Atlantic Mod Map in Transport Fever. Wont need bridges to connects the islands any longer :D.
I always take the full loan from the start, that way you can build up big and fast and if you do it right you can have the loan paid off by 1900 or before and be bringing in a beautifully huge profit
27.12.2019 here, its awesome to hear "so you can get a look early" when the second game is out lmfao
Thanks Colonel! Just purchased it yesterday. Waiting on the 8th
I'm glad you got the beta for this, I'll check out this series.
Shame, I'd hoped you'd go into the custom map options more. This map doesn't actually seem any bigger than the ones in Train Fever, it's just longer and narrower.

It's much longer than a previous large map.
I think the ability to zoom way out gives a misconception of the truly large scale Transport Fever brings to the table. So many cities always left with so many ways to start. Love it so far.
I agree, the distance between most cities is much bigger than it looks.
omg the introduction never ends!!!!
You sir, have a new subscriber. I can't help it... I got the fever!
just wandered in and thought I'd watch a while!
enjoying your style and pace so far!
FWIW: as a resident of a community that is within a few miles of Simi Valley, the correct pronunciation is "see me".

Well done Colonel, great start.
YES!! Great to see the now game up and running! It looks GREAT! Can't wait for more col! Great upgrade from train fever!
Plenty to come!
Question, can you deliver both possible requirements for a higher production output? Talking about the industries.
I too, can't wait to pick this up!!!
I put a like on this before I watch even the first millisecond, cause it's Colonel Failure. Nuff said.
I like you Steven, always have.
Nice video's you got. Im one of your newest subs and your video's are perfect. I think we need more youtubers like you, and i think you deserve alot more subs. PS Love your voice! ;)
just saw your video revisiting this map so thought id look at it
It's pretty ancient by my current standards.
@@colonelfailure Also saw some cities... ma see whats going on over there
The UI is so much better! So much better!
Hi Col great streamer very informative with a good sense of humour
Just gonna point this out but go back to when Los Angeles first pops into view. There is a patio area with large deck sun umbrellas. Yeeeah, those weren't around in 1850 lol

Just notice.. this is NOT train fever but the NEW transport fever :-) :-) Uhmm...
This is absolutely incredible!!!
So Awesome. Thanks Colonel!!!
0:07 did he just predict 2020?
Among us 😳😛
this is so cool. can't wait for the game :3
This game is as fun as Transport Giant ? or a bad knock off ?
8:47 Yes thank you Mr sheep! Lol, It stole your spotlight :P
Great intro to starting a new game, thank you!
I've always been cost conscious in Train Fever, this looks like it might test my patience though :)
The new map sizes, the goods chains, the asset placement options, it's all looking good and I approve of the new colour scheme for the UI and, especially, the ability to colour own vehicles!

In Train Fever you could place cargo terminals almost anywhere and the AI would do the 'last mile' transport of goods - is that still the case or will it only deliver within the highlighted area ... oh, a secondary question ... are there station upgrades to extend the catchment area?
Catchment area is both for drop off and pick up, you extend it by building an additional route to service the parts you're missing.
Thank you! The onward delivery of freight is going to make for some interesting/fun/frustrating in-town routing challenges. :)
You need to work in radio sir. You have a great voice for it.
@Finn Elisha what a piece of shit
excellent video. subscribed.
nice Love from India, I too ordered the game so excited to start
Might be me, but in the description it links to the 2000 game Traffic Giant. On RUclips Gaming. That is annoying as it doesn't show up in the Train Fever channel there.
You probably should have used/shown the Map Elevation visualization tool.
I'm not gonna lie, I like the new intro.
Also, there's 34 Warrens in the US but the biggest one is in Michigan.
I can't wait to play this in November!
When will they correct the time of travel?
looking good so far :)
2:10 The seed "ColonelFailure" worked for me. I got the same map as is in the video. Now I can 'play along' and not make some of the same mistakes. ;)
9:37 Says he likes burgers
Me: Looks down as I'm about to pick up a burger.
your voice is amazing
Pretty sure it's, "Give my liberty or give me death" - Patrick Henry
Ook! [I doubt Boston Pensylvania is the town they were aiming at (and yes, there is one - population 0.5k. I would say they were after the Great Tea Party in Massachusetts.]
Eek! [YES!!!! 20 minute rule is gone.]
Maybe they were though, because they knew I was coming...
Colonel, I want Transport Fever. When will it, and where will it be available for purchase? I spent 2 and 1\2 days watching you play on youtube. I'm hooked, please reply soon because I'm ready to purchase, Thankyou.
It's been available since November 2016. Head over to Steam and pick it up!
Do you play Naval Action?
I would like to know what mods you use in load order as I tend to get lua errors every time I try a new mod.
i dont know if any one has said this but simi valley is pronounced See Me valley
Duly noted, thank you.
Yippee! Home Sweet Home ... It's oh so nice to go travelling, but it's so much nicer to .. erm .. do something to other .. occasionally, if in the mood., rather than have a cup of tea. ;o)
Does it lag?
given that ts2 is out i am surprised more wasnt done with the first ts game!!!!
Does the city grow as the years go on?
Yes. They automatically build new houses, but it seems you have to help them along with the roads.
***** I am only Guessing
Cities automatically build up, and they do add their own roads, but if you put roads in, they'll follow those willingly enough.
I live near flint, Michigan so that's cool
It's going to get a role in this series pretty quickly.
Great. Hope your water supply's okay.
Can plz tell me how to add extra rack for the trains??
Warren is also Michigan.
"Boston Pennsylvania" hahaha no, its Boston Massachusetts silly
Nuts. Of course it is.
How's the performance compared to TF?
Honestly too soon to tell. Right now it feels about the same as current Train Fever - the last patch for that game helped a lot. Late game, large map however, I have no idea.
Colonel Failure Alright, thanks for the reply :)
any chance you can comment on late-game performance?
I can't, regrettably - not made it that far yet.
[question]: Can I run this game on HP6450b short #help
Honestly, even if the game runs I wouldn't expect it to run well. It can get quite slow if your PC can't handle it.
im on a laptop but, idk if i can buy this gameor not!
Using the train to take the goods on the way back and deliver them by truck to the destination? Nothing new, would do that all the time in Train Fever. Thats it?! Aw :/ can't wait for the next episode!!!!!
I Know Right? We want more now. Saw most Transport fever videos
3 more coming up today.
is this a update for train fever or u need to buy it cuz i gest buyd train fever.
you would need to buy it , but with you already got the old TF so you get extra discount on top of the pre order discount
I gave you the thumbs down not because your wrong but because its at the cost of a new game..
BlueRosse Gaming you need buy it, but if you have train fever you can get it for 15% off, and if you buy it before november 8th you can get it for another 10% off
Boston, Pennsylvania proves failure is indeed an option.
that is very cool how he has 4k subscribers but 5k views on this video
true, true welski
You realize he is close to 45k views on this video now right? and 8k Subs
'Terrain alignment' NOOOOO! my hopes and dreams !
Can't wait
i subed as soon as i heared your voice ..... now lets look at your video
So, your name is Sam?
Hey I need help. My people are only travelling one way! Both have buses too and can get to it
Without seeing your game it's tough to know exactly where the problem lies unfortunately.
Are you the younger brother of General Failure?
El Paso city!
By the Rio Grande!
Warren is in Michigan.
I love your voice
3:26 Boston, Pennsylvania
How much will it be?
If you have Train Fever and get it before the 8th from Steam, its $26 USD
24 euro's on steam at the moment, either get it now or during the christmas sales.
Oh that's why it went from 10% off to 25% off for me :)
The Phantom Knight I got it for $34, 10% off, but without discount its $38 (Canadian)
MICHIGAN THE GRAND STATE MICHIGAN IS THE BEST even though flint is a bad city
I have to disagree, as Oregon is the best. We outcasts truly make the entertainment and interest of people rise, plus, we're happy to share trees for hugging anytime. }:^)
No, everyone knows the Lone Star state is the best state. Always has been and always will be... This map reminds me of West Texas, either along the Rio Grande River or the Pecos River... All that is missing is the prickly pear cactus...

Oh you sweet god! You bless us with train jesus
On the 8th day...
Dude it is the United States you should make the map hilly
It's pretty hilly as it is.
Colonel Failure yeah I commented before I saw the map
Colonel Failure if you place track in small sections you'll save big trust me
There's a balancing act to pull off - longer sections of track tend to be flatter, while shorter ones are cheaper. There's room in the world for both approaches (particularly when my lazy tendencies shine through).
LOL 😄
it is live free or die hard
ganhou um escrito brasileiro.
Anyone else here notice that warren at the start looks a bit like the Nazi Symbol?
It's called a swastika. It triggers me so much when people call it a "Nazi Symbol", plus it wasn't a Nazi symbol at first, it was Buddhist.
Enough of the 15 minutes intro, play it already!
Yay transport fever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Colonel!! SWISS ALPS PLEASE!! (GOTTHARD)
ah yes so there is
Boston... in Pennsylvania........
That's the one I'm thinking of. The one in Massachusetts is the fake Boston, as well you know ;)
Colonel Failure mmmmkay
