I think one important thing authors miss for the sake of the story to go a specific way is that the decisions a character makes throughout the story should be a reflection of the character's personality. If I'm a hardheaded person, forgiving people isn't easy right? so why would someone do something to your character and they forgive them in an instance? it may not be the best example but I feel like this is really important.
The panic attack quirk is so realistic it's almost scary! I've personally never seen myself from birds-view when having a panic attack/meltdown, but my view of myself does switch to 3rd person. Or I just feel like I'm not myself

The problem I have if you could talk about it, is when you add in characters that are very very minor characters (for example like a persons guard needs a name if they are included in the story regularly but are so minimal)but still need names or even like the villain(s) I struggling with (names AND their backstories) I would love if you could talk about that! I’m trying to write my first fantasy series (actually first book ever in general) but there’s sooo much to consider it’s getting overwhelming, I don’t want to give up because I am enjoying myself but it’s hard to know everything you need to create it

And it starts when she is painting in the woods and a mysterious deer approaches her, and surprisingly he answers her and starts to communicate with her. I’m struggling to find the plots and themes of this book, I was wondering if u had any ideas to add, but if not, then maybe some other suggestions that fit a short story. I’d pay for a masterclass! Or if created digital cheat sheets with summaries of these tips etc broken up by ‘character’, ‘plot’, ‘world building’ etc etc. They’d be great resources
but also !!! naming your characters meaningful things is important but it's also necessary to remain realistic and relatable. for example if your story takes place in modern times and without magical aspects don't name the character 'amethyst ravenette' or anything crazy like that. i see this most commonly in beginner writers, but even i sometimes have to stop myself for giving a character that i love too much of an uncommon or unpalatable name.

Hey ana. I have a question about my book. I was considering some arcs for my story and I wanted to know if an arc has to be positive. In my trilogy, I have a character who craves stability, in the beginning, her mind is fractured and by the end of the whole series, she’s lost practically everyone and her home and I have some ideas for positive and negative arcs for her. The positive is her finding a place to stay with an old friend and she’s finally stable but the negative one is her in a complete spiral. She’s left alone and scared and vengeful. I’m torn between the two and I’m not even sure if it will end as a trilogy or as a longer book series. I need any sort of help and I’m open to suggestions ❤

Lol names can be the worst part sometimes Take my character, Faye Fellowes. I named her "Faye" because she was originally a mischievous thief, etc (hence fairy/faye blah blah blah). But then I changed her character quite a lot...and now she's like...completely different sort of?? But I love her name and can't picture her with any other name 😂

You could base the character’s name off of what happened in their past (check what the name means and have it match up with the backstory)
