    Pretty remarkable engineering. Especially because some PHEV manufacturer doesn't care about the hybrid performance.

    Love this channel, watched many videos. Will be interested in Octavia iV, when it comes. But what's the consumption in hybrid mode on Superb? I mean full battery and tank and "full power" of 218 HP. About how long can I use all of the power the combination produces?

    • @1001cars
      @1001cars  4 года назад +1

      Thank you! :) About your question: I'm not sure if you know what you are asking about :) Are you asking about driving at top speed whole time? Even with "empty batteries" (1%) you still have full amount of power.

      @@1001cars most probably no, I'm new to PHEV. Don't know how to ask properly. If I want to drive like the RS, how long could I have that joy? :D RS has full power constantly, since it's petrol car. But iV has petrol and electric and has 218 HP only as long as battery is available.
      You showed consumption with 1% battery. But what if I don't want e-mode first 50 kilometers and want hybrid mode from start? What's the consumption then? Is it even possible or will first 50km always be e-mode?

      @@UroSS321 If you drive carefully you will drive the same distance using electric even if you turned "hybrid mode" on (54 km). As I wrote: full power you have even with 1% of the battery. The system works to reserve enough energy for every hard acceleration

    @0:38 I know this is a older video but stil. What happens when you have a full battery you put the car in hybrid mode and check the 'auto' function? I saw a guy do that and and the consumption of the car was 3 litres per 100 km and the battery lasted for day's. Is that true?

    • @1001cars

      Have you tried watch this movie? I explained there how does it work. PHEV is a complex system, so yes, it is possible to get 3l/100 km (or even 1l/100 km) on certain distance, but without distance info it if useless info unfortunately.

      @@1001cars Thank you for your reply. Yes, i have watched this video to the the end and yes, you do drive the with full battery but you empty the battery first and then drive in hybrid.
      My question was what will happen when you have a full battery and drive the car in 'hybrid automatic' from the start. The person i talk about drives a Superb as a taxi and found out this was the better way for him to do it. You don't have to charge the car every day anf fuel consumption drops down.
      Next to the shifter you have a button called "E mode". When you press that you get a menu on your screen and can choose between E-mode and Hybrid. When you choose Hybrid a check box apears next to it saying "auto'. He checks that box. So the car drives in 'Hybrid auto'.
      I was just wondering what the consumption was when you drive like that.
      I am considering getting a Superb but i can't charge the car every day. I drive for my commute 50km per day. Mostly on 80km roads and city. No highway's.

    So everything shows that Skoda should use 2.0 TDi for Plugin Hybrid and it would gave as a result one of the best plugin hybrid in estate version for trips :)

    Have You tested Superb Plugin Hybrid or other Plugin Hybrid in winter conditions? For example when outside temperature is between +10 and -10? It would be interesting to compare electric range in winter(-ish) and summer conditions. I have read that electric range in winter conditions for Plugin Hybrids are ~30-20km or something like that.
