Why Census Matters In Fighting For LGBTQ+ Youth in Foster Care

As a non-binary person who grew up in the foster system, Tymber Hudson They/Them 🏳️‍🌈 wants to see LGBTQ+ kids grow up thriving, and not merely surviving.
There are nearly 400,000 children and youth foster care in the United States. Research shows that LGBTQ youth including immigrants are over-represented in the foster care system. Tymber is advocating for an accurate count so LGBTQ+ young people, especially in foster care, have access to resources, better funding, and the right programs to set them up for a better future.
