I dumpster dive at my own apartment. I was never into dumpster-diving until I found the following items: LV bag (knock off but nice), Micheal Kors bag (real and great condition), Samsung tablet (unfortunately it was locked though), Starbucks $5 gift card, kids strollers, couches, clothing, toys, chairs, tables, expensive big bird cage....
You two are always so happy! I love how well y’all support each other and laugh a lot!

I have that exact tower fan...it oscillates and even has a "cool" button that works great! I looked up those dress shoes and wow - they're fancy and over $100! Thank you for all you do for the community and earth!

I got inspired by you all, and built the courage up to do my first dive! My teen boys helped- though reluctant until the major score! We’ve been 4 more times since! My new hobby!! Lol

The cleaning solution bottles for the Swiffer can be washed out and filled with other floor cleaner when empty and reused again. No need to go to the landfill right away.

Love that you have someone to dive with you now. You are always laughing and having fun. You are my favorite dive channel. I did diving for a brief time before health issues but now that I’m getting stronger I’d love to do it again. It’s a treasure hunt but there is always treasure! Always something to find. ❤

Glad they took the giant white board near the end of vlog to maybe make a garage sale sign out of. I really really detest sale signs made in pen or like a single stroke of a sharpie... just make the works big and bold and legible or it drives me bananas!! Especially when placed at busy intersections where you have no chance at reading a thing, tiny text on signs drives me crazy! Hope that white board helps!
I love photocopier paper boxes for storage. They are sturdy, a uniform size and you can put the lid on and off easily.

I have completely furnished my apt with giveaways, thrift, trash picks, road side scores and dumpster dives! I have a posh posh posh home...velvet, antiques, crystal chandeliers layered curtains it looks like Beverly hills but I did it by doing what your doing. One mans trash is another mans treasure😘 rock on!

I feel you,I picked something out once - a pillow? I can't remember, but I thought it was white rice. I saw the maggots moving and threw it back in the trash bin just in time - YUCK! But you know what was worse then that? A dead goose, oh that was not good to see I guess it got hit by a car and someone threw it in the trash. You are correct this does not happen often. I have been picking/recycling since the covid scare,the students left in flocks and stuff was everywhere - oh I have stories but I'll stop now😊.
I dive two doors down from my townhouse at a mid rise Air b&b here in Houston. They claim to be a zero footprint business but they don't recycle and they throw out barely used pots and pans, linens dishes and small appliances. I can hardly keep up with what I get. Oh and the FOOD! Much of it from Whole Foods. Your videos inspire me to keep doing it although watching you, the weather in the AC is nice but then I go out there to a 110 degree big metal box!! Luckily the local homeless shelter has been able to take everything for this rehoming :-)

While maggots make me cringe...we have actually made maggot buckets for our chickens and ducks...a bucket with a tiny hole in the top (the bottom)..put some tuna or protein type under the upside down bucket...flies fly in the hole...lay the eggs...and a few days later maggots stroll out and become chicken /duck food...the circle of life still thrills me after 62 trips around the sun... every creature serves a purpose on this earth...except rodents...
*and mosquitoes.
They even do. Mosquitoes feed dragon flies. Rodents feed snakes & birds. Lol 🤣
😮 That's such a good use for them! Also the opened peanut butters can be fed to birds. And the stale/squashed breads can be given to farmers for the pigs and calves.
Rodents feed a a variety of different creatures, even misquotes do.

Just try to remember that magots are there cleaning up the garbage bins :) They are fly larvae. And yes it is yucky but it is really not a terrible thing happening. A very good part of nature cleaning up yuck. Wonderful haul!
You do a great job rescuing all this re-usable stuff, such a waste to just throw it away. I have a question, why are you so conscientious about clearing up any stuff lying around the dumpster, but you don't close the lids, that would probably keep lot of the flies out and maybe the rain as well?

Yeah, apartment dumpsters in the summer kinda sucks. They are always so smelly and just seem so much nastier than usual. That was a pretty good dive you two. That's going to be a massive yard sale! You'll probably make enough money to get you through until next college move out. ☺

Great find with those slim jims. They dont expire. Thats only a best buy date they will be good 20 years from now. Id eat them no problem
