Thank you very much! Glad you enjoy the rides. There will be more coming as soon as I get the bike back on the road after the attempted theft. Ride safe, Dave
Hi, you're welcome. I'm heading up there again on Saturday, this time in the campervan for the day. I feel anther Hunters Pie coming on. Ride safe, Dave
One of your best this Dave. As a religious historian of sorts, glad you put out the abbey info...its amazes me that many think of Henry simply as some sort of adulterer, albeit a violent one. His theft, murder and destruction of defenceless populations of religious has few, if any, peers in Britain. They certainly knew how to demolish! On a lighter note, those pies wil; draw me...bring my own Lanccy Parkin!
Another brilliant video I live waching them ... while sat in the canteen cheers me up and plan on my road trips on my Enfield intersepter .. please keep them coming This is the only motorbike channel that isn't trying to sell you something .
Hi mate, I'm going over the see the dealer tomorrow to see what the outlook is for the bike. I'm hoping they are able to straighten the plate out and get me back on the road. Ride safe, Dave
Hi Bob, you are very welcome. I tend to ride alone, so filming and talking on the video makes it feel like I'm out for a ride with my mates. Which this channel is really. Ride safe, Dave
Dave you really found us some lovely lanes and villages to explore here and such history we have here oop north. And that toll bridge was magnificent! Helmsley looked wonderful and your sharing of knowledge of the area with us made the ride so interesting. A real treat. I think this must rate for me as your finest day runs - though it's a tough call 😂 Great to be riding with you again. Thank you so much for doing all the research and editing. Your retirement can't be too far off now I think? Roll on good weather and the free time to enjoy it 👍 Peter
Hi Peter, glad you enjoyed it. Helmsley is a lovely place for a ride out. If you go you have to go to Hunters in the market square and try a pork pie. they are amazing. I have another 15 months to retirement and counting the days down lol . Ride safe mate, Dave
Another lovely, gentle ride to the lesser known parts of our lovely countryside and, as always, full of information that would go unknown but for your videos. Thank you.
I'm glad to see England's country side. I doubt I'll be able to make the trip at this time of my life. But I'm planning to buy a Royals Enfield. Your reviews were outstanding
Brilliant ride, and very informative. I wish I could retain information like you, but we have to make do with how we are made 😂. I had a comment on one of my vids, a chap wanting more history about the places I visit, being unable to do that myself, I have pointed him in your direction. 😉.
Hi Robert, glad you enjoyed it. Some of the rides were cold, but well worth it. There will be more video as soon as I get the bike back. Ride safe, Dave
Enjoyable video! 👍 We went up to Boroughbridge and over the rickety bridge at Aldwark on a ride out. And also a little further north to Myton on Swale where there was a battle against the Scots, I think in 1319, commonly known as The White Battle because the English army included Monks in white habits, possibly forced to fight, and their white corpses left on the field after the battle gave it the name! 👍
@@thatblokeonamotorbike Only a board to read but any excuse for a ride. There’s quite a few interesting things around the area. There’s the Devils Arrows (Bronze age standing stones) I think there’s a plaque commemorating some form of northern parliament and of course the Roman museum. Probably some others it was some time ago we went? 🤣
If I may mention, Porters cafe in Helmsley with open fire and lemon meringue pie to die for. That bike sounds just great, especially on tickover. Subscribed 👍
Thanks for this one Dave. I miss my visits to Helmsley with the charra when I was working at The Royal Hotel in Whitby. Never learned about the existence of Hunter's though, and I'm a definite pork pie man! Really enjoying watching these bud, cheers again. 👍

Hi Dave, You've done it again. You are giving away my best ride secrets in my area. You also gave me information that was both new and interesting to me. If when you were about to descend down into Ampleforth you had stopped the bike at the top of the hill and looked back you would have seen one of the best 180 plus views in North Yorkshire. The pork pies are the best👍 safe riding.🏍
Hi Jeff, woops I've given you secret roads away again. I will have to have a ride back up there when I get the bike back and have a look at the view in the other direction. Ride safe, Dave
@@jeffarnold9957 Hi Jeff, I went up there today in my campervan. Stopped at the top and looked back, even with the rain hammering down the view was amazing. There was a rainbow from one side to the other. Ride safe mate, Dave
