    Todd def knows his stuff. I'm a former south Louisiana duck hunter now living in WY and this will be a jacket I'm interested in using up here. I'm also on the fence with this one vs the Hudson. I hear the Boreal is just really maybe *too warm unless you're in

      Todd only wears the Boreal when it's single digits or less. It's a ridiculously effective barrier from the elements

    I can't decide between the Hudson Jacket vs this new Boreal Aerolite Jacket. They're both insulated, the shell pockets on the Aerolite look bigger though, but the Hudson has a 3 layer Gore-Tex vs Aerolite's 2 layer, so maybe the Hudson is slightly more durable? Also, the Hudson has the stretch Gore-Tex so I'm not sure if that's a huge difference maker. I hunt up in northern Washington State, so it gets cold just not ice North Dakota cold..

      If you're not hunting extreme cold then the Hudson is the more versatile of the two.

    I’m looking for some pants/bibs that you can literally sit in the snow for extended times and not get wet. Can you do that with these?

    What you say about type rubber boots to complete this set up for cold weather. Im in way south louisiana but the moisture with that cold wind is crazy

      Look at the Lacrosse lineup something with 1000 grams of insulation. Those should keep you warm.

    I’m looking to either buy the Hudson bibs or these boreal aerolite pants. I’m in Ohio and we can be hunting either 60 degree weather or -10 degree weather. Wide variety of weather. What do you think would be best? We also hunt in the rain and wind a lot too.

      @wingmen_eastmans  2 года назад +1

      Go with the Hudson if you can buy only one. Layer accordingly and you'll have a bib that will take you from the beginning of the season to the bitter end.

      @@wingmen_eastmans that’s what my thoughts were. Maybe get the Hudson and then a thermal layer for underneath. My buddy wears his grinder pants underneath his. We hunted 40 degrees and raining yesterday and he stayed really warm and dry with it from what he said

      @@CrankinWithChristian The Grinders are awesome for this time of year but later go with the Gradient, you'll be very warm and happy.
