My paternal grandfather served in the European theater in the army. My maternal grandfather was a navy Corpsman in the pacific theater. My maternal grandma elisted in the armt at 19. She wanted to go overseas, but she worked at the pentagon.
They were the greatest generation! Both my maternal grandparents were 1st generation American.

I like how you give your personal opinions/knowledge over the course of the video, instead of just brainlessly reacting. Hope you keep it up with the channel, loving your America vlogs too.

I'm watching this real late. I can't fathom how most Americans are German decent. Having a big event in NYC. Then going to Germany. I wish they talked it out. Culture would be very different today. Great reaction🙏

If you've never seen it, the movie "To Hell and Back" is about the most decorated WW2 American soldier, Audie Murphy. After the war he became a big Hollywood actor. What's unique about the movie, is he plays himself in the movie- he still looked young enough to pull it off. They actually tone down his heroism a bit, sort of like some of the stuff in "Band of Brothers" because it would feel too unreal!
Anyway, it's a good movie, with a great actor, portraying his amazing service in the war!
