    I was smiling with satisfaction all through your review! I feel the same appreciation for my 2014 1190, and having had it for about 2 months, the love affair is still hot and heavy!
    As someone else stated in comments, this is definitely a keeper. So much smooth, insane power, and the way it moves under, and with you, is absolutely brilliant. When I see the big BMW adventure class bikes, ubiquitous as they are, I feel so much cooler (if I'm being honest ;) on my Austrian fireball!!
    Cuz, you know, it's orange😁.

    I have the original 1290SA...Best overall bike I’ve ever owned, and I’ve been riding since 1980 and have had 3 GSs, Multistradas, loads of Ducati superbikes, S1000rr etc etc. It’s got the best engine (perfect fuelling), and while it’s not THE best at EVERYTHING, for me it’s the best overall I’ve ever owned.

    got the same model with arrow silencer and o2 delete and so happy with it, took my mates water cooled 2013 gs out last night and didnt have the same appeal, torque and handling was spot on with the GS but that was it, didnt feel part of the bike and a distinct lack of character made me love the ktm even more...
    Excellent video mate, keep em comming!

    I got the same model as this, fell in love with it. Pisses all over the GS imo. The clutch is so light, gearbox silky smooth, rides like an absolute dream !!
    Hate the colour though, a nice set o customized decals will sort that though ! 😂😂
    Good honest review mate

      No i traded in the kwak , although it was a brilliant bike it just had something missing if you get what I mean.. the KTM fills that void perfectly , I feel as if it was made for me . And yes i do enjoy giving it a spanking !!

    Great video. Bike feels more solid in your hands. I do more on road than off road, can you recommend better tires?

      Thanks for watching, I see good reviews of the Mitas e07 tyres which I intend trying next .I haven't yet taken mine off road but cant wait to try a little green lane trail riding..

    Great review.
    I'm thinking of getting either the KTM 1090 or 1190 to replace my Tiger 800 as an everyday commuter.
    The Tiger has been very good and faultless but after 2 years of ownership and 35,000 miles (total of 56,000 on the clock) I feel like a change.
    Just need to get out there and get a test ride 👍

    Hi mate, just wondering how tall are you? I'm after one myself and I'm 5 ft 11, will I be able to flat foot it?

    • @Crohniebiker
      @Crohniebiker  Год назад +1

      I have had friends 5'11 ride it they were on tip toe but you can lower the seat on this bike
      I'm 6'1 btw

    Hi mate thanks for sharing, I'm seriously considering this bike as an all rounder that could take me across Europe, but also for a bit of commuting and fun on the weekend. My only concern is the seat height, I'm 5'9 and have gotten used to just toes touching the ground or one flat foot on an 855mm height XT600, how tall are you and how did you find the 1190?

    • @Crohniebiker
      @Crohniebiker  4 года назад

      Thanks for the comment my friend. As for the 1190 well ..i absolutely love this bike , done a track day at donnington and done an adventure trail weekend. I mean how many bikes can do that !!
      Im 6'1" but to be honest I have the seat on the high setting and the suspension is adjustable for preload so maybe you would be ok .i would definitely recommend trying one .you'll love it 🏍

      O sweet, ya I can turn mine on but it throws an error code. I may go buy them and have them install them. Just got a good deal on a 16 model with 4000 miles on it.

    Rode a 3 year old,6000 mile example today,and was the biggest disappointment I've ever experienced in over 40 years of riding.....You'd never think that you were sat above a large V twin,with that total lack of anything resembling a big capacity engine, or resembling any form combustion engine. It whined and whired like a Kenwood food blender....Horrible! A 250 Superdream macho and hairy chested in comparison. Granted,it has the performance, ride quality,handling etc,but how do you live with that engine? Totally devoid of any character or 'feel'. Having years of old and modern Harleys and Brits,this was simply Horrid. Shame,as was expecting a true monster,but experienced a kitchen appliance.
