i always use the helis "the helicopter gun ship" at the very early game like day 5 because as every should know that every one focus on infantries in the early game so i can defeat my enemy with it
Helicopters are very much a defensive unit I'd say, very useful in early game, and if you are using an aircraft carrier, it is also convenient to carry those AWS to destroy those subs.

But even aah the heli are still stronger than they will take damage but will win especially if you mix gunships and attack heli with a comander. Only thing to worry about is af.
When I began the game, I had the blessing of joining a really good alliance. When I tried out to join, my trainer was the best player in the alliance He taught me from the beginning, that fixed wing aircrafts are almost entirely useless when you are playing against experienced foes. Pro players will make sams as soon as possible He taught me that helicopters are a underrated unit, and when I began using them, I felt the same. Gunships shred early game. And they open the way to attack helicopters, which you should always mix with gunships if you plan to use helis for late game too I personally have never used naval copters. Only naval patrol aircraft got the designated purpose of hunting ships and subs The only down side to playing helis are their poor range and slow speed.. but you can easily safeguard them from the most immediate threats. Don't send helis deep into enemy territory, they are prime targets for fighters Play them via patrol attack and edge your border with the enemy, keep the helis within range of your or friendly sams They are really really good. Now, I recently discovered that Strike Fighters are pretty good in casual pub matches.. no one makes sams. But that's the only fixed wing aircrafts I will use outside of Elite Attack Aircraft, AWACS, and NPA. Fighters are useless. If you have issues with enemy air, make Sam or mobile AA. never use fighters to counter other fighters.... unless you have a huge number or technology advantage, the damage is risky and totally rng based, I learned that the hard way All in all, I highly recommend helicopters. They are good, and play very very well with usual loadouts that pros run (such as MA, MAA, MLRS, SAMS)
And I appreciate you for making such good content, there is a lot of things you mentioned that most casual players don't know or realize. It's honestly a lifesaver, you earned a sub from me
If you dont mind explaining why is awacs so good? I get longest range radar in the game but it looks very expensive and hard to build (lvl 4 airbase), and you can get ground radar cheaper, which make more sense to me. Not saying you are wrong just that I dont see how come they are so usefull
I don't think the same. In a Flashpoint game i was France. US send me two stacks of 5 bombers each from North Sea. I was lucky to see him with an allied submarine, so, i moved my AWACS and launched my fighters to intercept; they was killed with ease. If i was playing only with SAMs, the bombers could arrived and launch cruise missiles or simply break my SAM defense using timing. Or they could retreat to attack on another less defended space. In another game (WW3 map) a player uses ASF with elite officer to break havoc in Asia, using cruise missiles. He had many airbases and airfields, so, it was heavy to defeat their inland cities (he was China). I managed to locate his fighters and with my Strikers i destroy almost many on the ground, the rest was shoot down with ASF. This was an oportunity attack that was not possible using SAMs. SAMs is a defensive unit that put you on a defensive stance, with limited tactical options. For other side, fixed wing, as the real life, are the best units if you play them well. The first thing that ANY army would do on a modern war is to ensure AIR DOMINANCE. You can't win air dominance with SAMs, that is do with aircraft, fixed AND rotary ones. SAMs are used to DENY AIR SPACE. What would any commander do with an enemy playing airspace denial? destroy his capacity to deny air. And this game have units to do it: Special Forces and helicopters.
Attack helicopter is the one thing that I often build but don't spam them in large numbers. I typically have 2 attack wings (one with officer) as a special purpose group, and use them to destroy enemy SAMs in locations where it is too inconvenient/urgent for my MRL stacks to go.
One use of gunship and heli officer is to capture enemy airbase, since they do zero damage to buildings. This is important at early game, to save resources and to allow fast expansion. Also, if your enemy has an airbase close to the border or close to the sea, then gunships can be used to destroy aircrafts on the ground, since aircrafts on the ground are considered as soft targets, and helis cannot be detected by most radars and are not afraid of the SAMs defending the airbase, making them perfect for this task.
Once they release the choppers carrier, I guess asw would be more usefull alongside airbone infant if they can go from the carrier to the enemy costal cities.
ASW is specifically for submarines. It stands for Anti Submarine Warfare and they were used a lot alongside Naval Patrol Aircraft to detect, deter and destroy submarines with nuclear weapons during the Cold War.
Heli definitely worth it I use them all the time especially early game they eat up infantry stacks with ease and then the anti tank helicopters r beasts 💪🏻
If you are being invaded by an army with 5 battle tanks and 2 mechanized infantry and you use helicopter gunship it will eliminate the infantry leaving only the tanks which can’t conquer territory you can do the same thing with chemical weapons
@@MelliodasGaming you can also use chemical cruise missiles I love doing that because usually my opponent doesn’t find out his infantry are gone until he is no longer conquering land because tanks without infantry are useless
I usually like to outsmart my enemies by seeing their most weaknesses by scouting their lands with my fighters then if i see them having a lot of troops i produce helicopter gunships if i see them making tanks i will make attack helicopters but most of the people actually make soft units and upgrade them so i would definitely recommend producing helicopter's gunships IF u make TONS of recourses at the start of the game

Bro what's the best starter game warship?I am asking becaz I managed to get myself into an apocalypse 4x game as New Zealand exactly like you,but my problem is that,I like a fool conquered the ai nations giving Australia time to prepare, now he has a bunch of arms industries, recruiting offices etc.(I am a noob btw)so I wanted to use warships to destroy his cities and conquer them before he can even counterattack. But since I am a noob,I don't know which ship I should use, since I have a very small amt of rare materials, electronics and fuel
Generallywhen you go into a game you want to have a loadout in mind. And by that I mean, based on what nation you pick, you decide which kind of mainstream units you want to go for (Air, Support/Artillery, Armor, Naval, etc) If you're a nation that's got at least two port cities, (the more the better) and a decent supply of Components, Supplies and Electronics, you have a good chance for a great naval play Early on for naval you want to make corvettes. Most people in casual matches skip them and go straight for other ships, which takes much more time and resources and leaves them vulnerable to early corvettes. If Australia has had time to prepare, it is best to see what he has by viewing his cities. Recruiting Offices mean he's likely making National Guard, which are weak but they're very cheap and produce in half the time that a Motorized Infantry can mobilize. So what you might want to do is make some Corvettes, research Destroyers and Frigates, and start producing them. If Australia has any level three port cities you want to make destroyers before frigates, it's likely then that Australia is making Attack Submarines or Frigs/Destroyers. Does Australia have any air bases? If not then you can focus on destroyers for now, but you definitely want to get frigates at some point. Cruisers you don't really have to use, Aircraft Carriers are pretty useless, Attack Submarines are great if you max them out so they have Attack range of 100 And missile Submarines are useless.
