Glad y’all had a great time in my home area! Cloudcroft Brewery is one of the best places to hang out. Great beer, good pizza, great atmosphere and people!
Convenient Lil town Alamogordo is.. I use to live in abq and delivered sw wines all over the whole state, Alamogordo and Ruidoso were on my deliveries.. growing town by now, it's 2022 we reside now in CO. You have a lot of great places in that area to visit, white sands, cloud croft, Las cruces, and the desert landscape. Beautiful at sunsets.. very hot during summer. Good foods and good people to help however they can. Look to the skies at dark.. you'll see weird things flying fast and bright sometimes.... ain't saying but ya...
We thought the people there were some of the nicest we have met. They really were great. Loved our stay there. Unfortunately we didn't get a good look at the night sky. 😉
Nice video! We lived in ElPaso 3+yrs long ago and taking trips up there was so much fun. I love Lincoln National forest, so so beautiful! I’m beginning to see a pattern when it comes to ice cream😂😂😂🍨🍦those images just made me want some too👍 Safe travels to you both.
Yes, ice cream is definitely a thing!! I use it to bribe Bubba into going hiking a lot of the time. 🤣🤣 The one thing Texas has going for it is you can find Blue Bell ice cream everywhere. Yes, that part of New Mexico is really beautiful!!
Hi guys...you guys find the neatest little places...yea bubba..if you liked that place with the pizza..I'm sure we would have....looking forward to seeing you guys...stay safe..J&A
There is a BBQ place up there in cloud croft that's very good. Some of the best ribs and brisket I've ever had (not saying much I'm from the east coast)
Guys ... welcome here to Alamogordo and i sure hope that in the future you'll make it back out to visit Cloudcroft and/or Ruidoso mountain community areas in warmer months as there's numerous mountain lakes, streams, campgrounds and outdoor festivals etc. to check out 😀😀😀
so how much of the year does Cloudcroft have snow cover? I am thinking about relocating to New Mexico from Wisconsin ( tired of winter) and I see there is a great disc golf course there in Cloudcroft. Do you still have snow cover into the month of May, or does it melt in late March early April?
@@StartGierach Well we usually average about 1 day of snow every 2 to 3 years here in Alamogordo some 20 minutes away from Cloudcroft however i'd contact the Cloudcroft Chamber of Commerce to answer your question(s) more specifically.
The entrance to the BLM land is a tight one. If your coming in from the direction of Alamogordo it will sneak up on you and make it more difficult to get lined up. Nice boondocking location just the same.
We drove through the camping area with the Smart and it looked like a really great camping area. Maybe someday we'll get to try it if we ever get a smaller rig.
YES ... next trip towards AZ ...I'll do it ...3 years ago I wanted to stop for the night in Almagordo ... but my phone service went out/& ability to navigate with maps on truck screen was gone (son forget to pay family plan bill!) ...so could not find the RV park. Just kept going headed home towards a known & favorite KOA @ Tucumcari! hit a snow storm up over the mountains ..Corona-vaughn!! ARGHHH ...not fun in my big rig with an impatient semi on my 6!
Oh, yikes! Doggone kids lol. 😂😂 Those New Mexico passes sure are famous for their sketchy weather. Seems I always get caught in snow going over Raton Pass into Colorado. The whole town of Cloudcroft was just beautiful. We think you would enjoy it.
DOES ALAMOGORDO STILL GET THE SONIC BOOMS FROM THE AIR BASE ????? THE SOUNDS OF FREEDOM. LOVE THAT. AND THE WALMART HAD THE CHEAPEST GAS WHEN WE VISITED.
We didn't hear any booms coming from the base, but we were only there for a couple of nights. We know what you mean though - we hear them in Yuma when the tanks at the proving grounds are doing exercises.

We loved it there! You're very lucky to live in such a wonderful place.
Was just opening up the Apple Barn when we.left Alamogordo..loved the High Rolls area with the Cherry and Apple Orchards..ciders..
That was awesome. Thank you for the great video.
Thank you so much!
That brewery is my favorite place to go, best pizza I’ve had.
thanks for taking me with you!
Thank you for watching!
yall hitting all the good spots here.
Again, thanks for taking us with you!
Thanks for watching!
Visited Cloud Croft each time we went to Holloman AFB. It is a must visit if you’re in the area and a nice drive.
Amazing place!!
Yes, very good advice, I was up in Cloud Croft hiking last year. What a beautiful place!!

I was stationed at Holloman Air Force Base way back in the day, when I wore a younger man's clothes. Good times!
Thank you for your service! That's a really great area out there. Probably our favorite spot in New Mexico so far.
Looks like a great place to visit. Be safe and have fun.
Thanks! It was wonderful.
We drive by on our way to Phoenix - we just may have stop in the Alamogordo area on one of our trips. Great video😊😊😊😊
Thank you! If nothing else make sure you pass through Cloudcroft sometime. It's a great area.
You are right that when plans fall apart something better comes along.
We love those little surprises.
thx for sharing my home state with us. stay warm and safe travels. AWESOME SETUP YALL GOT!!
Thank you, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in your home state. Nicest people ever!!
To do list, beer, you got me there.
Best wishes from the far North.
Thank you!
There are 3 good campgrounds close to there, and the old railraod lodge is worth checking out, and lots of black bears
Thanks for the tip! We look forward to going back and spending more time there. What a great place!

The four of us would have a blast there together! Miss you guys. ❤ Be safe and stay well.
Excellent, thanks.
Thank you for watching!
I haven’t missed snow ever since I started full-timing, but I would definitely go to Cloud Brewery. 😎🕷
The snow is bearable when you're just passing through. That whole town was just great. (And we know exactly what you mean. We don't miss snow either).
Bubba's entertaining as always.
He's quite a character lol.

Mad Jacks! Easily the best barbecue in NM, and it’s among the best in Texas.

Ice cream! Bubba what flavor was that? Now I guess I better make a list of places to stop. Thanks!
The ice cream was salted caramel and it was really good!

Now that’s fun riving, not a fan of KOA but that one looked prentice. 👍🇺🇸🦅😎
It was perfect for what we needed, and the staff there was amazing.
As I have always said, to enjoy Alamogordo, you have to leave Alamogordo.
Bubba and his icecream! Lol
You know he has to have his ice cream lol. 🤣
I FORGOT ABOUT THE PISTACHIO FARM.
We heard about that! It sounded great but we ran out of time before we could see it.
