ROM, the VACUOUS SPIDER | Bloodborne First Playthrough | Pt. 7

We unlock a LOT of new areas in this video, following a boss fight which took me by surprise!

As you might have guessed from the descriptions that lecture building floating in the nightmare is the school of Byrgenwerth. The missing piece of the building from which you reached the Moonside Lake.
You killed Rom who was hiding the rituals, now everyone can see the red moon. This is always misinterpreted: time did change, but the red moon was always there, like the Amygdalas. Now you can also see the Amygdala even at low insight. It's not random how you get insight: seeing a boss, or a new area, means getting in touch with the arcane knowledge. You may obtain insight in various ways, for instance you did it by simply meeting Master Willem.
01:40:55 Sadly most of weapons and objects in soul games don't have a cursor for aiming, so this is what we do: use the monocular until you have your target at the center of the screen. Then take your weapon without moving the camera, and shoot. The bullet gets shot exactly in the direction you were aiming at with the monocular. I did it a lot, with Bone Marrow Ash in my Pistol, it's like having a sniper rifle. It works also with every throwable items. Obviously they follow a parabola like in real life, so make sure to aim higher with slower objects 😉.
Bloodborne is so dense, despite being small, that it is very difficult to speedrun without knowing the areas. You were successful in the Forbidden Woods, but areas become more difficult as you progress. That is why you are having problems and getting lost. Those areas look much nicer when you take your time. But congratulations for trying speedrun in a first playthrough, that was not bad 😂.
For the Caryll Runes, you got the Rune Workshop Tool after the Witch of Hemwick. The description can be quite cryptic, it talks about impressing runes in one's mind. You might want to bring it to the Memory Altar at the Hunter Dream, and see what you can do with it.

hahahaha the accidental speedrunning was funny and unintentional - i expected to be lost for a LOT longer than i was! i don't tend to do well with directions/finding my way very often.
