Climbing mount Kinabalu needs training if you are not an outdoor person(it is not like walking in a park) and altitude sickness pills maybe needed. Take it 1 day before the climb to get your body to react first. The fee is high though for non Malaysian. About 450 USD. The detailed preparation and things to do is in a vlog by french traveller Alwin GC. You can watch other vlogs too. Example British traveler Adam Radcliffe. Do not go up laban rata when raining, they may cancel the climb up to the peak.

On a good day, I suggest you go up Sosodikon Hill very early in the morning to watch the sun rise & a breathtaking view of the mountain & surroundings .
If both of you wanna climb mount Kinabalu. Please do it between June to mid July. Because it will be the hot season and the sky will have a clear view of the surrounding areas. The suspension bridge is called "Jambatan gantung Tamparuli" at Tamparuli town.
We climbed it in Dec and came back down on Christmas Eve, and fortunately it didn't rain on way up but it did on way down. For those who plan to climb, I recommend you train 6 months before attempting. Iirc, if you don't reach the last checkpoint at 12,000 feet by 5 am, you are not allowed to continue to the peak.

Yes, there are lots of things to see and do in Kundasang but never mind, there's always another time. However, sometimes the rain enriches and intensifies the cool relaxing atmosphere in Kundasang. I'm glad you liked the gelato and chocolate milk in Desa Cattle.

Should go snorkeling/diving at tunku abdul rahman marine park. I just got back from KK less than a week ago. I'm a Singaporean, have visited peninsular countless times. So i decided to visit Sabah. Different environment, got to know a new ethnicty of dusun people which cant find much in peninsular.

probably for foreigners they are a lesser known part of malaysia.. for locals however especially on the peninsular part of malaysia such as i ... kundasang is a very special and a must go attraction / vacations ! it's quite well known as one of the must visit for us here. I went there and it was great.. tho there are still a lot of things I'm missing out on!

Holstein is the breed of cow. I grew up on a dairy farm. We didn't hand milk cows in the 80s. We used machines. However my grandfather taught me to milk a cow by hand. It's important to do it right for the cows comfort.

My grand parents and 3 different uncles were dairy farmers. I used to spend summer vacations on the farms that my family members had. The big black and white cows are "holsteins" They are known for the large volume of milk that they produce and are the largest of the milk producing cows.

Kundasang is in my top ten in the world. Not forgetting Kokol. To see sun set of Gununh Kinabalu, dining watching Kota Kinabalu and very close to KK.

My grand parents and 3 different uncles were dairy farmers. I used to spend summer vacations on the farms that my family members had. The big black and white cows are "holsteins" They are known for the large volume of milk that they produce and are the largest of the milk producing cows.
you guys went there during the school holiday. That's why there were many people at the farm.
