You can make a citizen arrest and claim self defence. That’s not what she did though. Once the dude left, she had no recourse for self defence and that’s where her problems began. All she needed to do at that point was follow from a safe distance to direct police straight to him and nothing more. Seems you’re just as ignorant as she is of the law, only on the opposite end.
I’d advise anyone to know the law inside out on this matter because you have to be perfect in your execution for the law to remain on your side. Then I’d say don’t do it anyway, unless you have absolutely no choice.

People carry guns with them with the idea that it's for protection, but so many of these people don't have the emotional control to handle everyday situations, and they end up shooting someone and going to prison. Best way to not shoot someone and go to jail is to not carry a gun in the first place.

It’s a dangerous world we live in, mass shootings, gang related crimes , cult crimes and so on.. mentally sick people , people get their hands on illegal firearms so I get it 100% , but maybe their should be more precautions on being able to own a legal firearm like multiple psych evaluations and teaching people about the law and what not.

Chasing him added to the adrenaline that police also get when they do chases (they are supposed to be train to recognize it and self relax after it ends) and then she attempted to illegally detain him. She is at fault here but I think it's also important to see it wasn't a racially motivated event. Mr. Herring was just trying to get a medical facility while in a panic filled moment to not die. These people making death threats have the same mindset as this woman.
You would think they'd learn from this case, about what can happen when you don't mind your business.

This is why the phrase "mind your own business" exists, because there have been MANY situations very similar to this, so we literally invented a saying so people might remember it.

@@phillipmarlowe0525Are you serious😏? Traffic accidents are misdemeanors which results in a fine and damages between the parties. The other guy who actually was part of the accident with the dead man never appeared in court. Hannah Payne should've minded her business as well as listened to the 911 operator instead of taking the law into her own hands that led to Mr. Herring's death and because of actions she has to spend the rest of her life in prison for killing him. Just saying! 🤡
