It provoked both shock and an outpouring of grief on a global scale - the abrupt and brutal ending in a tunnel in Paris of the life of the most famous woman in the world: Diana, Princess of Wales.
Tony Blair, then the British Prime Minister, was the first of many world leaders to pay tribute to Diana, famously dubbing her ‘the people’s princess’. He spoke about how she reached out to the sick, dying and needy, and how with just a look or a gesture she revealed the depth of her compassion and humanity.
Made shortly after her tragic death in August 1997, this poignant and illuminating tribute features the memories of those touched by Diana’s glamour, grace, generosity, courage and charisma. It features contributions from high-profile public figures, including novelist and politician Jeffrey Archer and US presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.

This documentary is absolutely ridiculous: blaming Diana, a wife who expects her husband to be beside her and not inside another man’s wife! Maybe Charles should have been upfront about his intentions and use of Diana but then we all know she would never have married him! What kind of man pushes his wife away while he’s playing tampons with another man’s wife, then exposes her to ridicule. I guess when you’re that privileged …

Shame on you for this documentary. Princess. Diane was beautiful. She doesn't deserve the way this was rolled up. It wasn't her that did wrong. It was her husband at the time. This is ridiculous

What right has that presenter saying that Diana didn't have education what a cheek charlie boy was unfaithful to Diana before he married Diana and he new that with the mistress these presenters are running Diana down to the ground what about charlie boy he was unfaithful to Diana all the years Diana was married to charlie boy the mistress was very very jaulouse of Diana it's OK for charlie boy to sleep around but it's not ok for Diana to meet james Hewitt charlie boy you have had more weman than anyone you think your gods gift to weman no your not charlie boy was an old man before his time Diana but that's down to his up bringing by his mother Diana was an angel compared to charlie boy was he was chasing other weman and then he ended up in bed with the mistress behind Diana's back but Diana new he was sleeping around with the mistress
