That is an awesome fly!! Spring bass fishing here on the east coast USA or summer salt flat fishing! I am a new to your Group but i be hanging around for a while!!
Great fly again, you make it look so easy and you have a great attention to detail. I will try to tie some for the end of the trout season here in Ireland on the 12th. Maybe the Coke is essential? By the way, I had no luck finding the Eriks hooks you use, can you point me in the right direction? Thank you, Mel.
I think you have to be very careful when shining light through clear plastic to set uv resin as many types of plastic will filter out all the uv range of light. For example my glasses only transmit 5% uv, I have a tester in work. On another note, I use spit all the time when tying flies so that never bothers me. Love the flies bud 👍
Yes and no.. I like watching football from time to time but its not like i have a team that im rooting for every season. I have a Patriots cap as Well.. 😅 And i like collecting caps. The quality and fit from the new era caps is superb!
Thanks for all the videos, they're really helpful. I've noticed that you hardly ever weight your streamers, or at least i rarely see it. Is there a reason for that? Do prefer using sinking lines over floating? Or has it something to do with how you want the fly to behave in the water?
Thanks for watching! I dont ad weight to my flies because i fish with an intermediate line 90% of the time and rarely do i fish in water deeper than 2 meters. Also you guessed it with the behavior of the fly when its unweighted. that way i can make really slow retrieves and let the fly "hang" in really shallow water. Especially in the winther this technique has given me an advantage. :-)
@@Coastfly thanks! I thoroughly enjoyed your video in Greenland. I was planning a trip to Iceland just before the Covid thing happened. I will go one day when this all clears up.
Killer tie! Killer GB hat💖‼️
Great vid Morten. Nice Zonker to catch some silver!
Thanks Andreas! This should def be able to fool a trout or two!
Started with a dark beer (you got me, but I think you have some good drink there) and finished with a great fly. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
9 am is a bit early for rum.. 😅
Thank you for another interesting and entertaining tying video.
Great fly and great video as always 🍺
Nice one! Really like the idea with the rubber legs👍
Thank you! Yeah everybody likes rubberlegs!
Great Fly and Great Cap 🤟
nice zonker! I cought most of my big brown trouts on a fast and easy variant of that fly. All black, no "head", some flash instead of silly legs.

@@melmckenna4195 thank you! It’s spelled Ahrex Hooks. Pretty sure there are a few dealers in Ireland. 😊
Super nice zonker man! I’m sure it would do the job n the Malmö canal for some big Perch
You could moisten a sponge and keep it in a glass near your vise. That way, when you knock it over, no spill!
Wicked little fly...which hook did you use?
Great looking fly. What are those long scissors you are using?
Super cut from renomed.. 👍🏻
Rubber leggs in a zonker ey. Well, as you said, all fish eats those leggs! Nice one!
I cant be the only one who has had that thought! Maybe the first to put it out on video though.. 🤔😅🙃

Who makes the head for this fly? Very clean looking! Great baitfish profile from head to tail and top to bottom. Well done!
Pro sportfisher makes Them. Ive left a ling in the video description to their site.. 👍🏻
What type/size hook did you use in this video. Enjoyed the video. TIA.
That is a stinger hook.. The ahrex ns 122 in a size 4 to be exact...
What size stinger hook did you use?
Size 4 i believe.. :-)
Fed flue 👍❤️
Tak Henrik!
what size of hook and size of scull? Good tying
Hook is size 4. Softhead is size xsmall.
A damp sponge works great! but do what works best for you! keep killing the flies!

Instead of a glass of water on your desk try a wet sponge on a little tray.
Solid tip!

Great pattern, but…COKE 👎👎, now PEPSI 👍👍 !! L 👍🎣👍🤣🤣
Haha.. 😅
Try to concentrate your tying on the fly. David McFail focus only on the fly .....
Well I’m not Davie am I..
Jättefina flugor du binder men otroligt irriterande musik i bakgrunden hela tiden
🤷♂️😂
