"We had a lot of pent up energy and rage, and we kind of turned that into emotion. I think we approached this year a little differently as artists. We kind of, we're not holding back anything, and I think that's been a wonderful development in our careers."
SOUNDBITE (English) Sam Kiszka, member of Greta Van Fleet:
"And it was the longest break that we had not playing in front of live audiences. So the first time back was just explosive."
SOUNDBITE (English) Josh Kiszka, member of Greta Van Fleet:
"Yeah, it was kind of this feedback loop of energy, you know? It's like we wanted it just as bad as everybody else wanted it, and everybody gets together all of sudden, it's this extraordinary celebration, I think it's some gratitude now toward these experiences. When we play music and people come to the shows or whatever, you know, it's kind of a reminder that this is something special, you know?"

Yeah Josh, that's exactly how we feel at your shows! I felt so lucky being able to attend concerts again in 2022 and GVF was the first band I saw after the pandemic, it was definitely a special experience!!
