The first time Siouxsie and the Banshees played 'Rhapsody' live, at the Hotpoint Festival, Switzerland, nine days before their Peepshow tour opened in Newcastle.

I know. I've seen this before and was wondering if she would try to do all those high notes live. When I was young and she came to NY she didn't perform because of a "throat infection." Girls were crying that day. It was the first Lollapalooza.

I LOVE this song so much. I first fell in love with this song around 89' on a trip to Canada with my family. I bought Through The Looking Glass while there on cassette. Every cassette I bought in Canada was black. I don't know why. I also bought a picture book of Siouxsie. I even went to my mother's house almost 20 years later looking for it, but to no avail.

Aah, the excitement to come after this performance! Saw them 3 times on The Peepshow tour, and each time was very theatrical and exciting! Something was always happening onstage to complement the extraordinary new music! This tour was supposed to be recorded and filmed, but was given the axe! Would have been a great live album and video-dvd!

Thanks for posting this, Gazely Gaze. I was at that concert. At that time I did not realize, how great this SatB performance really was. Peepshow is much underrated. All songs are classics. Almost all she played at the Hotpoint festival.
