    You still have that truck!!!

      Yes I do! Have not had a chance to do much to it other than transmission's over the last few years 😆 I will have to take you for another ride when the upgrades are done!

      Can a 3100 handle 500- 800 HP ??

    • @modeverything1
      @modeverything1  2 года назад

      500 crank I would think it could do reliably, 500 whp has not been done on a 3100 yet, but guys have done 500whp with 3400s so it should be possible! If I don't swap mine out before the spring I will try turning it up alot more to see how it holds! Biggest issue would be getting a transmission/differential to hold the power.

    Good to see the truck still pushing the 3.1! Idk if you remember me, I'm the lad that wants to swap one of these in a brazilian Chevette... I've finally found a unity! Actually two. A turbo rwd 3100 for 7k and a run of the mill van motor for 1k. I think I'll get that van motor hahahahahah

    • @modeverything1
      @modeverything1  2 года назад +1

      Yes its still going! Haha
      Heads and cam work great but I really want to rip the truck apart and redo everything lol

      @@modeverything1 I know that feeling. When you're a perfectionist, it ain't never good

      I'm not as much as a perfectionist as I would like to be, but I have learned alot that I can do better now!

    About to start a turbo build on my 94 buick 3100 first video I’ve found on a similar engine hope I don’t have to alter a whole lot to do it

    LNJ intake? I wouldn't have thought of that for a RWD application.

      It works well and I think that I am the only one that can get it under a stock hood! Lol

    Engine/vehicle combo is super cool. Doing more with less.

    I have an idea for you. It might sound crazy. Two 3100 V6s together making a 6.2 V12.

      Inspired by the Cizetza Moroder V16T

      That would be pretty sweet! Maybe one day if the channel ever gets to 500k-1m then we can tackle something like that! 😄

    My girlfriend has a 98 olds cutlass with an the 3100 sfi and I really want to make it into a sleeper, but I know nothing about these cars/engine, fo you gave any tips/advice

    • @modeverything1
      @modeverything1  2 года назад

      Depends on how far you want to go / spend. Being a 98 I would start with swapping to the large port heads/intakes (3400 or 2000+ 3100) little bit of porting work would help too! Or if you just want a little more passing power start with exhaust, larger throttle body and some pcm tuning! Lots more can be done but starts to get more expensive but also makes alot more power!

    Who did your regrind?

    • @modeverything1
      @modeverything1  2 года назад

      I had the local machine shop send it out for me, I'm guessing that he sent it to Canadian chrome and crank. Not sure if they will still do hollow cams or not.

      @@modeverything1 did they give you a cam card with specs?

    • @modeverything1

      No cam card, but I remember the machine shop saying it was close to an old Ford fox body 5L HO spec.

    That truck is sweet! I am just wondering, is the motor the 3100 SFI V6 or the 3100 MPI V6? I find so much more content for the MPI 3100 rather than the SFI 3100, which is what my 1999 Lumina has, considering my intake manifold says 3100 SFI V6 and the car is bone stock

    • @modeverything1
      @modeverything1  2 года назад

      Thanks! Yes it is SFI, but the newer large port version of yours found in the 2000-2003 Malibu and Buick century's!
