Danny did it again. I have been telling people that the spraying is putting aluminum in the soil and stopping the uptake of nutrients for the plants. Glad someone else is also speaking out about it. I researched it when I notice a few years back that my timber was dying from the top down. In all my many years I had not seen so many trees dying top down. Not natural. Keep up the good work, and we will be here to watch and learn and share along with you.
Awesome video!!!! ❤ I'm so happy you showed us exactly how you turn dirt into good garden growing soil. Don't apologize, and never stop sharing what you know about the real things happening these days. It's almost impossible to fatham or even keep up with it all on my own. So I really appreciate, believe, and trust what you share.
So exciting to see the first plants being placed in the new high tunnel. I'm learning soil/dirt prep is so important. Beds I spent the time prepping did so much better than the ones I just planted into last year.
❤❤❤😂Shows we all get so excited we forget! Least nobody got hurt and you stayed Humble!!! Ms Wanda you are great with the camera….Danny love your enthusiasm and ability to teach us what your doing. Gives this olde gal inspiration!!
Love this! The young man who cuts my grass for me cuts wood in the winter and he lets me have the dirt where he has piled up pieces of wood and it has broken down over the years. I go to his house and he gets a bucket on his Bobcat tractor and dumps it into the back of my pickup. I unload it when I get back home. I have tons of leaves I saved from fall so I am going to do this. Thank you for this video!!!
Good morning! Thanks for this video- it’s exactly what I needed as I’ve been listening to y’all and working toward all raised beds. I totally agree with making work easier as we age- so I’d like to share a tip- use a plastic pitch fork ( one for cleaning horse stalls) to pick up leaves. I do the same thing with the leaves around my place. The key to using a plastic fork is to rake the leaves down to the solid ground then scoop- if done this way it 1) does not stab the leaves like a metal pitch fork and 2) saves your back from bending over. Hope this helps someone!
!!!!!!!!!!I had *NO* Idea they made plastic forks!!!!!!!! But now that I know about it, I did a google search. And so I will try them. Because I am older and I have a lot of leaves every year
$19 later and a plastic fork head is on its way. I intend to attach a plastic handle from an old broom, which will give me a feather-weight tool to scoop leaves with. Thanks again!
Great video! Had to laugh when the bucket came off! Real life! Can't afford to buy metal for raised beds so using some scrap wood to build mine. We do what we can with what we have or can afford!! Wish I had some of that good soil u have at Pecan grove! But I have a good pile of compost and add alot.
Thank you so much for another great video. Ive learned so much from your videos. Wish i could get hold of some clean aged cow manure. I love the shredder, i need to invest in one.
A real thrill watching this video. being a massive believer i soil building..my personal mottohas ALWAYS been:-"Feed the soil, the soil will feed the Plants!!!!!...
Hello Danny, great idea for making rich soil. I was just wondering if you have tried using the pallet forks for mixing it all up.?anyhow, just an idea. Keep up the good work. Spring is upon us.
Nope I am not “tuning out!” I believe and trust your long history and experience. Much appreciate the knowledge! Trust me if I disagree or learn something different, we will have a healthy happy beneficial debate!
This is interesting that you are putting this high tunnel in stages and filling it up before you put the plastic on it. This makes really good sense to me!
I have my Vego bed ordered just waiting for it to come. I have leaf mold ready to mix in my with soil. I don’t have a mulched but I have a bin I pile in leaves in fall and they sit all year to break down. Soil is from my chicken run I dig up every fall then replace with over four feet of leaves they love and my next fall it’s rich black soil. That has been sitting since fall. Ready to add to the beds. This year using to fill my new Vego bed.
I love you guys and your videos. You may have addressed it in a previous video, but I've gotten to the point where I can't watch your videos with all the blurred spots. Do you have water droplets on the lens or are you using a very cheap camera or what?
What website do you use for your long-range weather forecast? I'd like to find a good weather website and figured you'd know the best one out there. Also, I am trying to create a grow chart for my vegetables. I want to include what fertilizers, etc to use and when to apply. I considered rewatching your videos and taking notes, but wondering if you might know of a source I can go to directly? Thanks
Good morning. I have the same beds,be sure not to put weight on those support rods they bend easy. I learned the hard way and the sides collapsed in. My mistake ❤ them
Truly amazing, im going to get started on ordering the amending supplies. Praise God. Love you 2 ❤.
What a blessin it is to have machinery. Bed looks beautiful!

You make good dirt. Thanks for sharing how it's done.
Wow that tractor makes work a lot easier. Can't wait to see things start popping up.

Wanda - you’re a great videographer! You really tell wonderful stories with your photography and your editing, etc.
Yes, I've never taken the time to say this myself. I truly enjoy your video efforts and what you verbally add to "Pawpaw's" instructions.

Second week of May for corn here where I live😊
Looks like you got some good soil there. I always always use leaves in my garden.. They broke down into nice soil. Have a great day.

Danny when your bucket came off I thought thank God! I am not the only one who has a little blooper in life..😅. ❤
Good job! Was funny when the bucket came off!😅
A real thrill watching this video. being a massive believer i soil building..my personal mottohas ALWAYS been:-"Feed the soil, the soil will feed the Plants!!!!!...
I have a feeling that the high tunnel setup is going to be stellar.
I was going to sell my chipper/shredder but guess it would be a good thing to keep it😊
I would
great video and was worried about the deer
Loved this video, glad to see you like the new Vego beds. What was the reason for the cardboard mid-way through?
We are putting worms in it they love cardboard.
❤❤very nice!
That's some good dirt!
Hello Danny, great idea for making rich soil. I was just wondering if you have tried using the pallet forks for mixing it all up.?anyhow, just an idea. Keep up the good work. Spring is upon us.
Thanks Danny! I have asked so many how to rid the soul of aluminum, strontium and barium in the soil caused by CONSTANT spraying in the NorthEast!!!
Add liquid phosphorus.
I wish I had that dirt. God bless and Much love 💖✝️
Please send me a bucket load 😁
Danny thank you for a great video I wish you tell us how you use the rabbit urine?
I dilute it and use it around my plants.
@@pecangrovems 💕🌹
Bro.Danny, whare did you get that leave shreeder?
From a widow lady getting rid of her husband's things.
That's some fine dirt you got there!!! Loved the blooper! That's real life!

We just received our two Vego Garden beds. Very excited to get them put together. Thank you, Danny and Wanda, for all the great gardening information.

Can you do a video for making soil for those of us who dont have deciduous leaves/ brown material
I'd love to have a few buckets of that stuff
Absolutely! We like to say we are growing dirt, lol, we live in sandy soil Florida. Your soil looks awesome! Have a terrific Thursday you two
Danny thank you I love the way you give information as you work, I take notes when I watch your videos . GOD BLESS
We cover our plants with flipped pots or buckets also! Love the progress at Pecan Grove! Looks Great!
Good morning
Morning
Add some gravel dust for minerals, either from drive way or gravel yard. I think its called M10.
These were raked from the gravel drive it's full of sand.
@@pecangrovems cool
Love that shredder, has just given me some ideas on improving my compost making in the backyard...
I love you guys and your videos. You may have addressed it in a previous video, but I've gotten to the point where I can't watch your videos with all the blurred spots. Do you have water droplets on the lens or are you using a very cheap camera or what?
Not sure it's definitely not a cheap camera. No one else has mentioned it.
Yalls doing it right, hope the brassica help miss Wanda.

I have personal friends in the weather business.
Weatherman Plus is good.
Are you getting rabbit manure from organic sources?
Really enjoy watching, you are so careful when you are doing things.
It's from our rabbits.
❤
Making good progress! Morning y’all! 👋
You should be using biochar in this mix
Good soil is built from dirt at the speed of life. Some things can’t be rushed or they are ruined.
Cardboard is worm food! They just love it.
🙏🙏🙏🙂♥️🕊👍. There is supposed to be a lot of Hurricanes your way this season. I will be praying for you and your animals in land.
Thanks so much
Yeah on Danny.....boo on Monsanto.....and the other people who are killing us one day at a time.
lol, you got welfare cows & deer now. thanks for the great show as always.
That’s what my grandma used to say “ that’s some gooood dirt
🙏🙏🙏❤❤
Good morning. I have the same beds,be sure not to put weight on those support rods they bend easy. I learned the hard way and the sides collapsed in. My mistake ❤ them
That is going to be some BEAUTIFUL growing medium...your crops are going to kick "A" for sure.
Mr Danny that's an awful big pile of leaves, you're going to be tuckered out.
Danny, your Dexters been calling you for petting & treats. lol.
Your bush hog will do this in a fraction of the time❤
Yeah but not as finely chopped.
Morning Danny and Wanda, I live in St. Joseph Missouri what is your weather prediction for us here? I love listening listening to your wisdom.
Always can have something interesting happen that is not expected. (Not always funny -- can be serious.)
The deer may be so close to pets that human urine doesn’t scare them off, but bone sauce still STINKS to them.
That sux
Stuff like that always happens to me
Where do y'all find these extended forecasts?
That is some mighty fine soil 😊
I have friends in that business.
That puts my Wheelbarrow to shame.
