The opportunity that Lonnie missed with the story of Moses and the Glory of God shining on his face is that Moses covered his face because he did not want the people to see the glory fading away as he got further away from his meeting with the Lord - the Apostle Paul recounts the story and tells the Believers of his time that IN CHRIST JESUS we have the Glory inside and it is never fading away
Jesus Christ Himself IS The GLORY of God just as Jesus Christ Himself IS Our RIGHTEOUSNESS

I miss this music. I still have cassette tapes and CDs of older vineyard worship songs. My mom got saved at chucks calvary chapel in the 70's and my aunt Judy and my grandma got saved at John's Anaheim vineyard in the early 80's. Eddie Espinosa played guitar and sang worship at my grandmas funeral in 1989. And John Wimber went to my friend Karen Smiths first husband's celebration of life service in the 80's. He looked so sad that day. My friend Tina got saved at Set Free and her ex husband Bob joined Soldiers Jesus motorcycle club. I used to go to Greg Laurie's Harvest Christian fellowship church in the 80's and the Moreno Valley Vineyard then Set Free in Perris, ca before moving back to Orange County in 1994 when I left my ex husband. Then my kids and I attended the Mission Viejo Vineyard and I remember when everyone prayed for pastor Ed and he was healed of leukemia I think it was. I'm 58 so I remember hearing Lonnie's name tossed around but I was young back then so I'm not sure if I ever saw him in person. I'm really loving learning more about him on RUclips. I also remember Melody Land was a popular place too. I went there for some kind of function as a kid.

I received the Holy Ghost in 1982 in a little pentecostal church that was on fire with revival in the mid west.
I never went to church when I was young and new nothing about God and at the age of 23 living a lonely life away from my family and was invited to church by a shy introverted fellow student who had just returned to the lord .
Thank you Jesus my life has never been the same.
So glad to learn about Lonnie .

I was 21 years old, 2001. I was so full of the holy ghost, someone had to drive me home. I had an out of body experience. I was praising God so strongly that I promise you, I glided up to the altar, the power of God knocked me down. I kept clapping my hands, until I couldn't feel them, when I opened my eyes, there was no ceiling on the church and a language entered my mind, one I knew I couldn't speak, there was burning in my chest, I began to speak in an unknown language, I then saw my own body leave and go up, I watched it go up,and then come back down and laid right next to me. It was so real, right after that, God began to use me in my prophetic gifts. I would dream really vivid dreams with spiritual meanings, I would have visions day and night, people began coming to me with dreams they couldn't interpret or understand, God would give it to me to explain it to them. That's why I know Lonnie was the real deal, and whenever I see someone tearing his legacy down, I defend him. All that matters, is that he made it right with God, we have no right to keep judging him, or anyone else, but we better make sure our lives are right, Jesus is soon to come. The time is now to seek Him, while He may be found. I can hear the Spirit saying, to anyone who have fell away, come home son, come home daughter, no matter what you have done, Jesus can wipe it clean and love and receive you. John 3:16 Acts 2:4. ♥️

Their is a good reason Chuck Smith tried get Lonnie to follow doctrine instead feeling and gifts...Lonnie was to far out in left field.

Note how he mocks the Rapture: "We're becoming Christian escape artists." To this day, the pre-trib Rapture is a pet doctrine of Calvary Chapel.

@@rand5 Yeah well, I love my pet. She's awesome. But doctrines I like in order of a hierarchy of values. This is another point where Calvary Chapel and Chuck Smith come off sadly in the wrong. Major on the majors, and let tomorrow take care of the things of its own.

I'm not Calvary Chapel, but I'm Spirit filled. Saved in 1979 in an Assemblies of God at a Sunday night service. I too believe in a Pretrib Rapture. But however it comes about, I plan to be with Jesus in heaven one day. I'm 66 and still serving Him.

@@sharoncrawford7192 Thanks for that comment. "However it comes about" is a good and wise policy. "Take no thought for tomorrow, for tomorrow shall take thought for itself." Amen?
Let's be found with oil in our lamps and not beating the other servants when that day comes.
May revelation, peace, joy, mercy, good fruits and the continual power to serve be yours in the Gospel and to your loved ones through the many graces of the Spirit according to this promise:
"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved, you and your house."

One thing that is misleading. John, in his book, pretended he barely knew Lonnie. Yet it is obvious that John knew Lonnie and Lonnie knew John. 23:00 says he knew him for 3 years. That God had called them to work together. It bothers me that there are some things that are misleading in part to get laughs. It is disappointing. We are all human. Yet it is hard to hear those kinds of misrepresentations.

It dawned on me that after Lonnie prays you continue to hear Lonnie and you hear the singer. John said a boy had microphone wrapped around his neck and was praying in tongues. Where is it?
