The Bike Shed and Bolt Motorcycles London | Two of the Coolest Biker Hangouts in London!

- Monika and I spent a day enjoying two of the absolute coolest biker hangouts in London; Bolt Motorcycles and The Bike Shed Motorcycle Club.
Bike Shed is a thoroughly modern motorcycle hangout spot, with great coffee, delicious food and drinks on offer, as well as stocking a wide range of different clothing motorbike brands, a barber, and a very cool variety of modified motorcycles. Bike Shed celebrates all things modern classic / modern retro in motorcycling- from the motorbikes themselves, to the style of motorcycle clothing and even the barber shop.
Whereas Bolt London is a tribute to the 1950s and 60s; the rockers, the Ton-up boys, Triton, Triumphs, Nortons, vintage leather jackets for sale, a record shop- all set in an old courtyard that hasn’t changed in 80 years. They serve coffee, and while we were there, the owner was on the decks mixing his records. Chilled out, edgy, and off the scale cool vibes.
These are two very different approaches to biker hangouts and both equally as cool in their own incredibly unique ways!
I hope you enjoy it:)

I went to The Bike Shed a couple of weeks ago. Heaven! The coolest, cleanest, friendliest place you could imagine. The arch garage with the bikes was so cool to be in, wanted a shave but you have to book in advance, and had a couple of pints, burger and fries (the fries were perfect, BTW, needing no ketchup or anything) served up by the CUTEST little blonde waitress ever. Can't recommend this place enough.
Europe has such a great biker vibe. So much bigger/better than we have in the US. At least for me, I identify so much more with you (Freddie) than I do with the typical biker here in the US which seems to be a “Harley” guy or the “sport bike” guy. Love the triumph love the gear love your adventures! Really enjoy your channel. Cheers 😀
Thanks Freddie. Outstanding video! Greetings from Thailand. “Tropical Bikers Paradise” with infrastructure. ruclips.net/video/cRqVgGomU7E/видео.html. On the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand, Sattahip district not far from PATTAYA Town we have The BIKERS CAFE. Perfect for a day trip Bangkok-Sattahip. Here is the link: ruclips.net/video/G2VK2P29034/видео.html
For real. Unfortunately in my area half the bikers are tweakers, and they are all obsessed with being in 1% clubs. There really isn't a fun or friendly motorcycle community here.
Superb… loved the look and contrasting styles of both.
Wow! Fun filled biker day with your beautiful lady. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Defo on my list to visit , thanks for giving me a taster of both places
Seriously, cannot wait to try out the bike shed! Love your stuff Freddie, Monica 👌 please tell us you will be carrying on when you sadly leave us 🙌🤞
Just got back into biking after a 15 year break. These videos are just great.
Another winner for me. Great to go along with you to two places I’d love to visit some day.
Love your genuine enthusiasm!
Great video!
Cheers Freddie
Another insta-like video from Freddie and Monika. Lovin' it while sipping coffee.
Excellent can’t wait to go visit both
I press the like button before I watch Freddie, keep it up!
Great Vlog again Freddie, we were at the Bike Shed last week when the GP was on, the place was packed but we still managed to park and get a seat. I for one was very impressed with the service, food and atmosphere created by the staff. I used to hang around this area when I was a kid and when a teenager spent many a night in the Pubs just outside the Bike Shed, pulled over a few times for speeding on my first Bikes back in 77-78. The Coppers in those days just gave you a talking to and then chatted about your Bike for a while before letting you go, no speed cameras then to worry about!
I've heard it's got a fantastic atmosphere on GP days! And what a brilliant insight of 1970s London- thank you!🙂
Brilliant video thanks! 😊👍🏍
Been to bike shed recently after seeing it on one of your videos and is definitely everything you said it is. I could sit in the courtyard for hours watching the bikes roll past. Bolt is now on my to do list! Cheers Freddie! 👍
Thank you!🙂
Awesome video and awesome content can’t wait for the next video Thanks Freddie and Monica
Can't wait to come visit! Love this tour.
Thanks!:)
Love the bike shed modified Enfield interceptor, as well as all the various bikes shown. I’d like to slowly motor my Speedmaster through the dining area ! Side note, your “clean” Bonneville is a great looking bike, now that it can be seen from under the dust and dirt 🤩👍😎! Regards to Monica, Great channel ⭐️
That was epically cool !! I tip my hat, Freddie and Monica!
The Bike Shed is a great place! I’ve been there in 2016.👊🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
2 very cool places!! 👍🏻
Only recently discovered your awesome channel as the Suffolk connections, however I grew up to the East of London and worked adjacent to Old Street/ Shoreditch bike shed for 25 years, great to see these two locations thriving although if I visited not sure my Ducati or Mt10 fits the vibe lol, cheers Freddie and Monica
Thanks for the support Dave! They're very cool bits of London and actually Bike Shed is very one to all bikes- sports bikes are fairly common (especially on MotoGP days)🙂
That’s one of the coolest videos you’ve made and a real inspiration to get out there get some fresh air adrenaline ride the bike and have a burger! thanks bro, stay cool looking & forward to the next one.
Thanks very much Steve!:)
Amazing place thanks for sharing this adventure
Loved this, cheers from NZ
Thanks for a peek at UK bike culture. Looks like a great time! Cheers from the USA!
Trust me, this isn't UK biking culture. 😂
@Andrew Green Middle class bike culture maybe 😂
This ain't the norm here, this is a lot more of a hipster vibe.
This isn't UK bike culture.
This is poshies pretending to be bike culture.
Yet again, Monika, Great soundtrack!
Great Video! I’d like to live next door to the Bike Shed!! Thanks for Sharing!!
I can't wait to visit the UK again and visit Bikeshed
Fantastic vlog as always man . Big fan of your reviews !
What a fantastic video!
Bike shed is on my list when I visit London next summer + shipping my bike with me .
Thanks for the Vlog I enjoyed it 👍🏼
They’re opening a Bike Shed in Los Angeles 10 minutes from me and I couldn’t be more excited
Watched a video of the launch. It looks amazing.
Love the Bike shed, been a couple of times(live up north, so a bit of a ride) on one occasion was lucky enough to chat with Charlie Boorman, top bloke. 👍
I enjoyed the video, it was a lovely start to a wet Sunday morning ! I have been following you for a while and your content is right up there, keep it up and soon you'll be hitting a 100k sub milestone ! 👌
Thanks so much!
GREAT VIDEO as always!!
The bike in the Bike Shed was a Kawasaki W800. Great video! 👍
Cool loved the Enfield nice one guys : )
Cool video, i enjoyed every moment of it. Thank you for the ride
I wrote a comment on the site where I bought you a coffee asking you to do a video about bike shed. I had no idea you already did. Thanks for this video.
Awesome biker hang out!!!
glad to have come across this video.
Hi, I discovered your channel by accident. I've become a real fan now. Your videos are great and i'm happy about new videos from you every week. I also drive a motorcycle myself, a Royal Enfield Meteor. Your motorcycle trips inspire and show how beautiful England is.
Drive safely and Greetings from Germany
ps: sorry for my bad english 😉
Guten tag! Great to have a watcher in Germany🙂. I'm hoping to try a Meteor soon- they look brilliant!
Great video as always Freddie
Very cool place that I would love to visit!
The Royal Enfield interceptor Collab with Bike Shed is Dope AF! Super underrated, these Bikes!
8:26 may be a Kawasaki W650
Thank you for sharing this. I wish I had something like this near me.
I think it is the W800 because it’s missing the Kickstarter 👍 Kawasaki did good not to give up on the W.
A simple, but definitely beautiful piece of machine.
Very nice. Cool place cool attire cool attitude.
Was down in the shed last Saturday from Glasgow, always love it . Bolt on list for next time 👊🏻
What a ride; Glasgow to London- brilliant!!
Entertianing as always! Respect from South Africa.
Thanks Marcus!
Love your vlogs, I saw a video by casualty and loved it.
Now I'm following your videos. They are really good.
Wish there is a bike shed here in Majorca, love it.
Follower from Majorca with a BMW K75 ✌✌✌
Great stuff well edited please continue.
Superb place just a great hang out
Awesome video man! Cheers from Texas! I imagine y'all have some old skool dive bars out there! Or as y'all call them pubs! Keep the wheels turning and the beavers grinning 😀!
Pretty cool place to visit! I'll give myself at least a few months before venturing into London, although might have to flirt with the outskirts when I buy my first bike!
Two great venues, and hey even my Ducati in the video to boot!
Very cool places. On my 'to do' list next time I'm down south.
Such an awesome bloke, love from Indonesia❤
Niiice. You guys fit in so well. Two of the coolest characters on RUclips.
Thanks Joel!
Like your motorcycle gear very cool😎
Nice video bud will certainly be checking those places out when I get a chance
Great vlog mate as ever !
Pretty cool that you got some vintage hawkwind over the airwaves at bolt too. I have a friend with a very nice old black triumph trident 1200 and a baby yellow 750 triple too. Still going strong too
Buongiorno Freddie👍un saluto dall'Italia
Buongiorno Maurizio!🙂
Haven't heard of Bolt before. But it's a new adventure for my next day off!
Great stuff, love it. Wonder how many more Bolts there are in London- must be a few! 👍😎
Thanks! Just one Bolt, but you have to be specific with the google search; "Bolt Motorcycles London", otherwise quite a few things come up!🙂
Cool, I was lucky enough to stumble across the Bike Shed on a visit from Oz 🦘 back in 2018. Had an afternoon browse & returned to soak up a bit more atmosphere for dinner. Should have spent up on some of the gear, quality & not always accessible where I am now. Enjoyed your vid cheers. 👍🏍🇦🇺
I think they want to open a branch in Australia in the future.
Got my birthday at the bike shed next week I can’t wait!! Definitely going to check out Bolt that place looks lovely for a coffee.
Sounds like a fun time!! Happy bday
Have a great bday- no better place to spend it!🙂
Two great places to hang out for bikers! Thanks for sharing Freddy! Wonderful surprise for me yesterday. My 2022 Triumph Speed Twin was delivered yesterday 2 weeks ahead of schedule. So excited!
No way- that is a rare thing to get a bike ahead of schedule in today's climate! Congratulations on the new machine!:)
Don't know if I will be buying a new car or bike in the future with the mandatory speed limiter built in from 22
@@brianmays1731 Agreed!
Great content, happened upon your channel through the you tube analytics, I'm usually floating between The Missenden Flyer, Teapot One and Itchy Boots, so this is a pleasant surprise. A new sub right here.
Thanks very much Rob!
Yea I might pop in, didn't know about this place although I know the Bikeshed quite well.
You'll miss the bike shed and bolt when you leave for Tenerife, looks a great place thanks for sharing.
Ahhh you're right Mark- the UK has an incredible biking culture!
But just remember, when you're enjoying the sunshine in December it'll be cold wet & miserable her in GB. I'll take great biking weather anyday.
Great vlog mate👍
Awesome content 👌
Keep'em coming 😉
Thank you!
Yehh as an ex-pat I enjoyed my ride through bits of ye "olde smoke" as you mentioned many do Freddie, and you're right. I forgot how tight a squeeze it is passing cars stopped at lights etc, almost made the hairs on my arms stand and I wasn't on the bike. I hope you and your woman keep up the good work Freddie and keep the shinny side up 😎
Great vlog and how cool was that Royal Enfield/Bike Shed collaboration! 👍🤘
Thanks Simon! It really makes me want an Interceptor!
Even before the video began, i could hear monaca already in my head
Both look cool places dude , will go one day 😁🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Hi Freddie! Greetings from Greece! Love your channel! I had a Honda Rebel 1996 which I sold, regrettably...I now ride a Honda NC750X DCT which I absolutely love! I wish I had a Bonneville as a second bike. Actually, I was about to get one a few years ago. Awesome bike! Ride safe and always have fun!!! 👍
Hi! Fantastic to have a Greek watcher, thank you!🙂. I've heard the NC750 is a superb bike, with in built helmet storage I've heard!
Thanks Freddie. Outstanding video! Greetings from Thailand. “Tropical Bikers Paradise” with infrastructure. ruclips.net/video/cRqVgGomU7E/видео.html. Good time out with you
From Australia
bolt genuinely looks like one of the coolest shops ive ever seen
I totally agree- I was amazed at how cool it is!
@@FreddieDobbs your recommendations lately have been on point. Finally went back and watched all of your videos and it’s cool to see even now where you’ve started to where you’re at. Can’t wait to see the next bike you get and where it takes you 🤙🏻
Great Vlogging Freddie!
Nice to meet you both, great vid, a nice biker cafe to visit for a run out is 1066 on the A21, it’s a scaled down bike shed.
Ah yes I know it- I must try and visit before I head off to Tenerife!
I loved that long pause when you saw the price on that leather jacket 😂
Sooo cool mate
Shame there's not a Bike Shed more central in the UK. Great video Freddie, keep up the good work!
I did hear somewhere that another UK venue may be in the back of their minds🤞🤞
Nice one Freddie!
Nice one....
Would love to see both places when I'm next in London , Philip, Newzealand

Bike Shed looks like such a cool place. Love the Rokker Tech jacket I bought one after you had it on the channel and due to a mix up I ended up with two one was free. cheers
What an INCREDIBLE result!!!!😀
@@FreddieDobbs 😁too bad they are the same color.
Great job Bro. I live in Texas and ride a BMW Adventure bike around the world -- I've been to London a whack of times -- but never been to the Bike Shed... I've started collecting old BMW Airheads -- and I'm in love -- they are not motorbikes -- they are art!
That’s cool. I’m thinking of biking in London. I’m in CA. How did you get your bike to London?
@@uniqueanartist6792 Air Canada or WestJet (both Canadian airlines) fly from Toronto directly to Heathrow. They had in 2019 a super special rate and you can even fly on the same plane and pick up the bike later that day. It takes a bit of effort to drive the bike to the Toronto airport and you will need the paperwork. They will pack it for you and are expert in this. Picking up your bike is no more than 1 hour after it gets to the storage area at Heathrow. Just have your paperwork ready. I actually messed up a bit and it took me 3-4 hours… But it should have been only 1 hour or less.
Wow, thank you so much.
@@Coldgecko
@@Coldgecko coolbeans! Thank you so much
The bike was a Kawasaki W650 or 800, great content Freddie.
Thanks Ian!
W800, no kickstarter.
Monica and Freddie is a inspiration where ever they take as I am inspired by yes Monica and Freddie let’s go 🏍🍷🌈
HI , Yes . Ride up from Bournemouth , no M3 , AS NOT BUILT . start at the Ace of spades around the North circular to Walthamstow . Bolt must be as old the bag shop at Smithfield , two very different styles and nice to see . A micro climate of history . Bike shed at tobacco wharf ,must have been the Fort Knox of London in it,s day . Another great video and glad to see Monika , with her new , boots , hop skip and jump . Take care and ride safe .
Thank you! So true; Tobacco Wharf is a fortress of a building!
I recognized this spot from a youtube channel "Bike shed". Great spot.. 👍👍👍

Another cool and useful video. For me, Bolt motorcycles = authenticity, Bike Shed = trendy version.
Thanks Malcolm. I think you're spot on!
I would love at least one, if not several, Bike Shed type establishments in every State over here.
