@@thriftersifter I just wonder if it adds an extra level of stability to the glass. Whenever you purchase glassware from stores or manufacturers, it usually comes stuffed with paper so I just assumed that it adds some level of protection.
The package that you have inside should have the destination address on it. If the outer box gets damaged and separated from the inner box they won't know where the package goes to or came from. I worked for UPS. I saw it happen quite often. The inner package would come down the belt and there would be no signs of the outer box and shipping
I'm really liking these videos where you show how you package things - thank you for sharing your knowledge about all the different aspects of what you do.
Thanks for the info. No reason to save on supplies for expensive sales. I usually do stretch wrap after the second layer of bubble. I find it tightens up everything and usually saves me a few sheets of bubble. Plus I suck at tape 😂.
May I suggest rather than the 2 pieces (6 min) where you add two strips of tape perpendicular to the first piece, put two pieces foleded over the two edges of the box perpendicular to the first piece of tape.
Being a mailman and seeing your tape boxing makes it seems a bit of an overkill on the tape but then again I’ve seen where they literally tape the whole box
Here’s the link for the bubble wrap, Amazon supplies I use and more! www.thriftersifter.co
You could stuff the vase or glass with packing paper for added security. Great video
@@donniev8181 I know people that do that but I personally don’t think it does anything. Glass doesn’t bend inward. It just breaks.
@@donniev8181 Maybe I should make a video testing the theory lol

@@thriftersifter I think its just an added measure that prevents the empty glassware from breaking in on itself if dropped??

Boy that is so pretty!! I got a bunch of beautiful glassware for free, extra tips are always nice!
Fantastic job. Love a double box for super fragile things. I use fragile tape. I get 6 rolls at a time for pretty cheap.

Use foam tape. Works well
And thanks for the video😊😊
Thanks for watching! 😃

Yeah I don’t think some of that is necessary. This is just kind of expensive.
it is good what you did.. but you are not considering the volumetric issue... a lot of volume will cost a lot in shipping...
