Unfortunately you can't consider only the transportation system and not look at the outrageous levels of crime nowadays. Who needs electric buses when you can get shot while waiting for a bus?
Scandinavian countries and some of the places surrounding them really seem to be leading the charge in positive urbanisation. Rather than building for the sake of vanity and tourism like many other first-world countries, I like the fact that they seem to put their citizens and local environment first and it's a mindset that I think should be employed more nowadays. P.S. Garbage trucks that make less noise is something the rest of the world needs. The loud, slow ones make commuting in winter mornings a nightmare where I live at least.
It really is. And one thing I commented to friends was how clean the air was - my asthma was much improved compared to back home in the UK. After watching the video I now know why.

I'm not sure how Gothenburg with its car-centric infrastructure is one of the world’s most sustainable cities when it comes to mobility. Only a small number of people bike there and it's clear why - the infrastructure for bikes is really bad, cyclists get only leftovers of space, there are so many places in the city that you can not even cross unless you are in a car. I thought all of that means opposite to sustainable mobility. Don't get me wrong, there are many good things in Gothenburg, but still, electrifying public transport is not really enough to be sustainable in mobility (in my opinion)
Wtf... Gothenburg is awesome when it comes to cycling.... I also have cars and it absolutely sucks to drive in center so I rather bike or go by tram... Also sometimes it's traffic but never too much. I'm from Budapest originally and Budapest sucks
@@arpudli8962 there are many cities that are worse than Gothenburg when it comes to cycling but it's still quite car centric, you can check some ratings of bike friendly cities in Europe to have an idea of how it can be

Gothenburg is a big city and it needs a proper tunnelbana/metro network! These can serve as secondary transport mode but they alone can't possibly meet the citizens transport demands effectively. What are your plans for that? Are there any tunnelbana projects at all for Gothenburg?
That's a question for the local government! In the 1930s and the 1960s, far-fetched projects to build a subway system in Gothenburg were scrapped twice. There are various opinions about why Gothenburg didn't get this form of public transport. Everything from the projects' financial cost to the city's ground condition has been listed as a reason the local politicians never decided to greenlight the investments. Source: SR (Swedish National Broadcast Radio)
I love the bus stop idea when using electric vehicles. Why should people wait outside in the cold and rain when the bus could now come into the building instead (because of no emissions) whilst we as passengers sit in comfort and warmth. Seriously 'outside the box' thinking. Well done whoever thought of it.
Inspiring. How is the construction of a cable car progressing? Is it likely to open soon? Is there still any plans to build a cable car to the southern archipelago?

What a joke! Gothenburg is a mess of freeways and large oversized intersections for a relatively small city. And public transport consists of a old-fashioned and very slow tramnet and shaky buslines. A tunnel for the commutertrains a currently beeing built witch will make most trains taking longer to reach the centre. A complete fake film.
