I really loved the vlog section! I know you haven't been happy with the last couple attempts of making a video like that but if you ever are really happy with one and decide to upload I'll be really excited to watch it! The billy bookshelves are so great for manga, I've been trying to upgrade my space with a couple birch ones but my Ikea is always out of stock T____T
I want the cringe-y vlogs, I loved this little chill, cozy, hangout-with-me type video while you built furniture! You're definitely too hard on yourself, this is the content I LIVE FOR. I would watch an hour long video of you editing a video, or reading manga, or watching the paint dry in your room if you were just talking about nothing the whole time. 10/10 the content I want.
LMAOO the struggle to pronounce subscription right at the end is perfection. Everything looks amazing btw, makes me wish I had more space to decorate my room 😊
The bookcase looks great! Might I suggest using white paint/small paintbrush to color in those shelf holes that aren't being used to give the case a cleaner look. My friend did it and it made a night and day difference lol

Also honestly putting together detolfs is generally a nightmare for me (I've watched so many videos but they never assemble smoothly for me) so I feel that lack of motivation. 😅
I miss the perfect manga shelves. They were shallow but perfect for manga sizes. About 20 cm deep, and then room to fit 8 shelves total inside them. No idea why IKEA stopped selling them, but I guess if you want to put things in double lines and get twice as much stuff in a bookshelf, the billy ones are better.
You don't need to bolt your Billy to the wall per-say, but at the same time, they can tip forward if they're top-heavy (and if they're empty and you put doors on them). I had one fall forward on to me when I was first putting it up. Lucky I stopped it with my elbow and the top of my head.
I am also planning on switching to Billy bookcases for my collecting. Currently repurposing an old wardrobe I took the doors off and added in extra shelves. I hope I don't have as much trouble as you did. Will make sure I read the instructions. Loved the blog parts. I enjoy watching chatty videos and you got a great personality and presence so I am sure a full vlog would be fun. Hope your healing up well.

I FEEL YOUR MANAGA PAIN. I have been trying to get chainsaw man vol2 for 4 months now. I ordered it from several places and on nov 12th indigo gave me a notice saying they shipped it. Literally the next day, the other place also emailed me saying it was in stock but I cancelled since I got the indigo email. It was supposed to be here last friday. You can guess... it's not here. I emailed them and they say it's stuck because of the mudslides but it's in Surrey, which is like right next to Vancouver and wasn't effected by mudslides. ANYWAYS i'm never getting it and I shoulda just got the one from the local shop. lol
How the hell can struggling to build a BILLY be so damn cute? Also I FEEL the struggle to find the volumes of series you like. My local area has basically nothing in regards to stores that carry manga besides Barnes and Noble >_

the cool thing about the backing is that it folds. you dont have to slide it on length wise like you did.
