Grounding, on the other hand, refers to the practice of creating an equipotential bond between different parts of an electrical system, such as the metal casing of a device, the neutral conductor, and the earth. The purpose of grounding is to limit the potential difference between different parts of the system, which helps protect against electrostatic discharge and electromagnetic interference.
In other words, earthing is about safety, while grounding is about reducing electrical noise and interference. Both are important concepts in electrical systems, and they are often implemented together to provide a safe and reliable electrical infrastructure.
