    They are one and the same.
    🇺🇸 Grounding
    🇬🇧 Earthing
    In the UK an earthed(grounded) neutral is called PEN (protective earth neutral) conductor and the installation is described to be a TNCS system (Terra Neutral Combined Separated) which means that Earth and Neutral are combined at the transformer and get separated once they get to your property.

      True. But these terms are different where ground is only connected at neutral. At premises the equipment has to be grounded. The return path is through ground not via conductor

      @@electricallectures Then the earthing system is a TT (Terra Terra) instead of TNCS. First T means that the Neutral at the transformer is earthed and the 2nd T is for the electrode that is burried at your property via which your equipment and devices are linked to earth and the Neutral and Protective Earth (PE) conductors are not combined like in a TNCS (Terra means Earth in Italian/Portuguese). Ground or grounding is a not a term that you would hear among British electricians.
