    Interesting. As a child I grew up on a ranch in Arizona and my parents collected all the shoes from us kids at the end of school and we went bare footed all summer. Once our feet got use to the hot soil we were not bothered by going barefoot. Also, I don't remember us being sick at all when I lived on the ranch.

      That is true. As a kid, my parents could not keep me inside the house much less in shoes! I was climbing trees, fences, and digging in the ground. Happy healthy kid! my parents had a difficult time talking me into my shoes except when going to the store! Bottom line- I loved feeling the ground under my bare feet.

    I bought a 2 grounding mats and my husband and I have been grounding now for 3 weeks now. I was very skeptical. But I was desperate …. I also have autoimmune disease and for 8 months was so sick. I actually thought I was dying. I had every test possible and had seen 4 different specialist. Was so tired and sleeping all day and the inflammation, sinus infections and problems breathing was overwhelming. They could find nothing wrong…. But I know my body and I knew something wasn’t right. I started grounding and am astonished at the results I have had!!! I sleep all night much better… no longer fatigued… my energy is back and have not had any anxiety, nor inflammation!!! I feel like the old me!! I will not ever go without my mat!!! I sleep with it under my legs.

    As an electrician let me say this because I haven’t heard anyone talk about it but you can also ground your self by just touching you breaker box panel on the outside don’t touch nothing inside if your not an electrician but just hang on to your box for about 10 min your breaker box is usually grounded it all goes down to an 8ft copper rod burried in the ground. So this could help if u live in a big city

      I don’t know I’m commercial in industrial. I haven’t done houses as much but as far as I can tell, it’s going to do the street side of the waterline. I don’t think they’re putting ground rods in every single house. Are they where you live or where you’ve worked on houses

      Is it practical then to attach a copper wire to the outside of the breaker box somehow and run it to your bedroom (for a grounding sheet), instead of using a ground rod outside the house? And what "dirty electricity filter" would you recommend for plugging into the wall, if that's an actual solution? I've heard that some companies sell them, but I'm not sure if they're legit. Thanks.

    Honestly, I thought earthing is serious BS. I am a nurse and watched the documentary. I was intrigued enough to test it out for myself. It's been a week and I've just been going out to the grass, sitting in a chair and putting my bare feet onto the damp grass. My back that was in serious spasm and my experience of sciatica is resolved. My knees continued to hurt, but after a week, even that has resolved too. My sleep is improving (I still need more of that.) I will continue to "test" it and even though my experience is anecdotal, I am pretty impressed about how great it's gone so far.

I’ll be putting my number up and putting my Mail up I don’t think I should put it up on this site but what this guy is saying as far as interference is exactly right and it’s only grounded to the higher, the side of the water pipe and exactly what he saying is right the neutral or the return has current on it and it’s right beside your ground and you will have interference. That’s just the way it is and it goes back to ground which the ground also goes back to ground so what are you saying is exactly right?

    Many people these days have moved over to streaming media and away from cable television. With that said; if you have cable ran into your home that is unused, the outside of that cable should be grounded. This is often ran into multiple rooms in homes and would give a cleaner access to grounding especially if the cable is disconnected. The actual grounding of the cable should be local where the signal is often disconnected on the pole or in a separate location if the lines are under ground. You can test the grounding with a voltmeter (AC mode) by putting the red lead in the power side of an electrical outlet and the black lead on the outside of the end of the coax cable.

    540 millivolts is what I measure coming from the surface of the ground, compared to 0 millivolts coming from the 'ground' of the electrical wall outlet. It is absolutely necessary to plug in outside to take advantage of the natural electrical charge of the ground. The electrical 'ground' of the house is too deep in the ground to have these electrons which are essential!

    • @papadavewatson

      I've never heard anyone else say this. Where do you get this info?

    • @Elphidore
      @Elphidore 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@papadavewatson Je peux vous montrer comment faire. Vous avez besoin d'abord d'un multimètre. Vous enfoncez une tige d'acier dans le sol et à côté, vous mettez une cuillère en inox en contact avec la terre du sol en surface tout simplement. La sonde noire du multimètre touche la tige d'acier, et la sonde rouge touche la cuillère en surface. Vous allez mesurer un voltage assez bas en apparence, mais c'est en millivolts que vous allez faire la mesure. Ce voltage que je mesure à l'extérieur, je peux l'acheminer dans la maison en passant par la fenêtre, et je branche ce fil conducteur sur une grille de broche en treillis comme il s'en vend en quincaillerie en rouleau. En mettant les pieds sur le treillis, je sens l'effet d'un contact réel avec la charge électrique naturelle du sol et je l'apprécie énormément !!! Vous avez beau ne pas y croire, mais je peux le mesurer. Si vous ne testez pas, vous ne verrez jamais ce qui est présent dans le sol. Alors, je considère que le contact avec la charge électrique naturelle du sol, c'est ce qui conviendrait d'être appelé 'Earthing', parce que je me branche sur le courant électrique naturel de la Terre. Tandis que le 'Grounding', on le trouve dans une prise électrique murale dans une maison, et ce n'est pas du tout la même chose. D'ailleurs, Prenez le multimètre, et mettez la sonde noire sur le treillis de broche dans la maison, et la sonde rouge soit sur le calorifère, le robinet, la tuyauterie de la maison ou sur une vis enfoncée dans le ground de la prise murale électrique. Vous allez alors mesurer environ 540 millivolts ou parfois moins. Vous verrez donc que lorsque l'on se met les pieds dans le gazon, on cherche à avoir un contact avec la charge électrique naturelle du sol, et comme Clint Ober le dit, ce sont les électrons du sol qui montent dans les jambes et qui fond du bien à l'organisme. Le ground de la prise murale électrique ne donne rien du tout, sauf d'évacuer l'excédent de charge électrique néfaste dans l'organisme. Le 'ground est branché trop profond, et plus profond que 30 cm, on ne trouve plus de charge électrique. Donc, le 'ground' se branche là où il n'y a pas d'électrons ou de charge électrique dans le sol, parce que les électrons se tiennent en surface, et près de la surface, et non en profondeur. J'espère que vous serez courageux et que vous prendrez comme moi un multimètre pour tout vérifier ce que je viens de vous dire. Moi, je le fais déjà, depuis quelques mois seulement, et j'ai compris !

    As a EE, I was always surprised to hear about people hooking their grounding mats to the electrical outlets. Maybe it’s better than nothing, but there’s no way it’s as good as a true earth ground!
    One thing I wonder is whether you could put a inductive choke (ferrite bead) on the wire from the mat to the outlet. I would think that would significantly knock down the high-frequency “noise” your guest talked about.

    • @DNewkirk-fk3se
      @DNewkirk-fk3se 9 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, yes and yes! Place an oscilloscope at the terminal of the grounding strap (or mat or bed pad) which has the connecting wire plugged into the ground pin of an electrical outlet. Especially vivid is an outlet where a refrigerator is connected. Whenever the compressor kicks on or off, many tremendous high frequency spikes appear. Even though they are short lived in milliseconds of time, their amplitude is magnitudes above the typical sixty-cycle hum and trash that is inducted into the electrical house wiring. Move your grounding setup to an outlet that is on a different circuit than the refrigerator. You'll see the generated spikes, but at a lesser amplitude. Now introduce a ferrite choke that is designed for attenuating electrical power noise. The compressor spikes are still existent; however, their levels are just discernable. And you'll find a significant amount of the electrical noise has been reduced within its spectrum. This is an improvement if you're going to connect to the house wiring ground, but of course not as wholesome as walking barefooted in a grassy field. But maybe, just maybe, you'll begin to have tranquil dreams of walking along the beach as the surf laps over your toes.

      I recall that this question may have been addressed by Clint Ober, or perhaps by one of the university scientists who were conducting studies for Clint. I didn't copy down the actual reference because I didn't have a reason at the time.
      My recall is that they think using an outlet ground might be a more consistent and even grounding method ... rather than using the actual dirt ground.
      It's possible that there was something said about it in that original hour-long documentary. I don't know if they're right and I have not studied their actual experiments or measurements.

    What happens if lightning strikes and you have the one line grounding rod away from the system? You’ll get electrocuted and that can be dangerous. My electrician informed me of that after I wanted to have the same set up as mentioned in the video.

    Please, if you’re going to reference Clint Ober, don’t make up stuff. I have watched many many videos that Clint Ober has been a part of and he has always spoken of the first time he grounded himself was he put a conductive strip across his bed and grounded it and went to sleep with a volt meter in his hand and then woke up the next morning after sleeping all night and was surprised at how well he slept. He has never said he put a ground outside his window and wrapped it around his toe and went to sleep, I’m very disappointed that you would make something up like this.

    ignorant promotors of fake health claims: The key plausible claim of grounding, that ground electrons come up in sufficient quantities having an antioxidant effect greater than or equal to food antioxidants is simply false.
    Measured current is under one microamp.
    A microamp is 6.24 x 10 to the 12 electrons per second.
    A day has 86400 seconds but the math is simpler if we round up to 100,000 seconds.
    So a day of grounding ( assuming the electrons actually act as antioxidants)would give you
    6..24x 10 th the 17th electrons.
    A vitamin C molecule (molecular weight 176) can neutralize at least one free radical by donating one electron. From the definition of a mole, the molecular weight of vitamin C and
    a bit of math...1.76 MILLIGRAMS of vitamin C can oxidize to release 6.02 x 10 to the 18th power electrons. So if even 10 % of that tiny amount of vitamin C is metabolized as an antioxidant the benefit would be similar to a day of grounding. No one takes you seriously if you claim your life changed from a tablespoon of orang juice. So we should not take seriously your life changed by taking off your shoes. Unsubscribe from people who give bad information.Regarding studies: you do not have the study posted. Almost all the positive studies are Earthing institute research paid for by vendors of useless Earthing mats.

      John, I think the theory of grounding relies more on the fact that while connected to earth, the induced electromagnetic voltages into one's body from the huge variety of sources (electrical grid, cell towers, radio, television, comms, etc etc) all associated with modern living are discharged back to earth, and for the period of earth connection, the body is freed from the effect of these induced signals. Somehow grounding sounded interesting and in 2020 my OH convinced me we should start giving it a try. Firstly with some barefoot walking outside, it felt good. Then an earthing sheet while sleeping. My goodness, from night one I felt so much better. Calmer, more 'human' somehow, better sleep, stronger. It sounds crazy but... it is true :-)

      Because there is still a considerable length of phase conductor from the switchboard to the wall switch. It's that length that can still cause cross-talk of spikes and other interference into the ground conductor lying parallel to the phase conductor in the cable.
