Years ago when I was getting serious about sporting clays, I took lessons from three professional instructors. The only one that I went back to was Dan Carlisle. He is a COACH that WORKS for his money as opposed to "pros" who walk around with you an hour or so and give you tips. You get the feeling that he genuinely wants to teach you something that will stick with you. Carlisle took me to another level of shooting skill.

Sporting Clays is a great sport and a ton of fun. I like the idea of a Professional Sporting Clays Association, but unfortunately it doesn't translate as a spectator sport or to a TV audience. That means limited commercial sponsorship i.e. limited money. I think the a way to make a PSCA tour work is for the contestants to put up sufficient money that the winners can continue to compete full time, and the others can keep trying until they hit a payday or quit. I've played professional tournament poker off and on which has greater TV appeal and yet the contestants provide for the player pool money that gets divided for the top 10% of the winners. PSCA could try something like that.
