Francis Currey, Medal of Honor, WWII

While defending a strongpoint near Malmédy, Belgium, on December 21, 1944, Private First Class Francis Currey destroyed numerous enemy positions, enabling a surrounded American unit to escape. Currey was awarded the Medal of Honor on July 27, 1945.
