      Haha, thanks John! It was fun to make! I’ll have to make another one in the summer... maybe player stereotypes?

    Hi! It was an excellent video well prepared and where you show a huge sense of humor. Very good! The "scroller" is unfortunately the most frequent ... I do not know which will be the worst, it is certainly the one who, because of these behaviors, can keep people away from tennis. Greetings and Congratulations on your creativity.

      You’re right, phones should be banned from the courts, unless they’re used for video analysis or for something that adds value to the session! Thanks for watching!

    The scroller was the basketball "coach" I would always see at the gym I used to go to. He would run these drills, and stayed on his phone seemed like.

      The Tennis Mentor that’s just so accurate it’s scary. Only a coach would notice that behaviour cos we’re around it all the time.

    • @TheTennisMentor
      @TheTennisMentor  4 года назад

      Poor scenes! I think you’d be surprised... I think people can see bad traits a mile off! My mindset is that we should all aim to make each session the highlight of the player/child’s week!

    • @alexandergreat4836
      @alexandergreat4836 4 года назад +1

      The Tennis Mentor totally agree with you but when the coach does 8 or 9 hours on the bounce the quality seriously suffers.

    • @TheTennisMentor
      @TheTennisMentor  4 года назад +2

      Alexander Great you’re right... it’s not easy, we’ve all been there trying to get the hours in, but once the quality drops something has to change! I try to stick to 4 hours/break/4 hours at the max these days. I used to do 8/9 but I’m too old for that now 😅

      When working with a team, it's difficult to give any technical help to any of the players, basically being a babysitter,"observer". The time to help each player is when they come to you and explain which problem they're experiencing, or if not identifiable to them, hit some balls to them so you can watch for any technical glitch in their stroke production, footwork, timing, and "ECD",
      Eye Contact Delay. You either can give them a lesson to resolve the problem, or inform their private coach what you've observed.

    As a tennis coach of 3 years I used to be guilty of sitting on the bucket when feeding red balls to beginner players haha.Funny how you had that basket because it was a basket exactly like that that I was sitting on when I was feeding balls to beginners and children(itf stage 3 red balls)
    Also when I was working with a high school team thats graduated now last year I was a bit of an overloader I will admit.
