  • This is the first in my new series 'Cracking Thai in 10 Sentences' where we deep dive into the language and culture surrounding 10 randomly drawn everyday naturally occurring sentences from a pool of 1000's. These sentences are from real life, and often not what your textbooks or teachers would teach in class. Even if you think you may know these on the surface, as we dive deep, you may be surprised what you learn.

    Hey Stuart, ever thought of doing videos about Teochew (Chinese) influence on the Thai language?
    I know you study Mandarin and Canto mainly, but I was surprised (in a good way) to find out about the Teochew influence.
    Either way, keep up the great work! Love this series in particular 🙂

    New favourite series on RUclips - looking forward to the rest!
    Also enjoyed 12:47 - was Yoda perhaps Thai and an English second language speaker? 👏😄

      So this is episode 1. I will be creating a new set in Jcademy of this series and include it in the Unlimited bundle to add extra value. I'll probably upload about 5 or 10 to RUclips, but hopefully eventually cover 1000s of sentences

    Hi Stuart! when you read 3110 you leav out the word "tung". Would it mean something else if you include it? ( khit tung = missing?)

      It's in the transliteration by mistake but not the actual Thai.

    Honest question, If I want to learn Thai, how does referencing Laos/Chinese/etc words help me?

    • @StuartJayRaj
      @StuartJayRaj  2 года назад +2

      Helps a lot for many as 1. I have thousands of followers / students who are Chinese speakers and / learning or already speak these languages. Learning Thai via these languages is a much more efficient process than learning via English, so if links can be made, its making life easier for many people.
