First-aid products for everyone's skin tones

  • This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Band-Aid. One appealing feature has always been the products flesh-tone finish, but whose flesh tone? Just this year, manufacturer Johnson and Johnson decided to expand the colors of the product, similar to the line they released over a decade ago and then scrapped. It's just one example of a movement that includes another maker of first-aid products, putting racial sensitivity first. Michelle Miller reports.

@phlyerthanyou5387 1. Untrue, there's division within a race, I am part of a "minority" and I see what people call racism among my race BUT if we mistreat someone with a different skin tone THEN we call it racism.
      2. Who's gonna feel special with a different skin tone. I'm sure that the manufacturer was thinking on 1 color only, green.
      3. As I mentioned it, I am not white, yet I hate it when something gets amplified and we call everything racist or homophobic or misogynistic or any of those terms that are popular but are inaccurate as well.
I'm more than sure kids want a super hero or princess band aid instead of skin tone. It is not being the problem, it's being realistic and see BS and call it out. Nowadays people like this trend of delusion and want to be part of something even if that means lying to themselves.

In this treemap, we use data for 2019 from the Kaiser Family Foundation, which bases its analysis on the latest American Community Survey (ACS) data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Then we break down the same data on a state-by-state basis.
    Growing Diversity in America
As of 2019, here is the current distribution of the U.S. population by race and ethnicity:
    White: 60.1% (Non-Hispanic)
    Hispanic: 18.5%
    Black: 12.2%
    Asian: 5.6%
    Multiple Races: 2.8%
    American Indian/Alaska Native: 0.7%
    Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander: 0.2%
Company will sell products that caters to the majority and it's not racist or emotional but just smart business sense . So black people should stop wearing flesh tone underwear or brown paper should not be used for grocery shop because it's racist to Hispanic...woke logic is warped ...brown paper is used because it's cheap and natural colour ...it's just economic . All this BS emotional makes you all sound weak ...be confident in your race color and walk proud ..any colour is good if you are righteous honourable and lead a good life and not telling the world how you are affected by colour of band aid ....boo hoo grow up!

Ok, you don't seem very bright. But I don't remember anyone saying anyone had to use a specific band-aid.

Nobody said that you had to use these bandaids. You can use any bandaids you want.

Is this not just as bad as dark and light skin colour toilets. Why tell children at a young age you need this bandaid because you belong to this group 🤷🏼‍♀️ thats gunna raise more questions in schools and raise them to think there’s a big gap between skin tones. Either have a light one, a dark one or a patterned one and give everyone the same plaster so there’s no division between groups of white, medium and dark bandaid people. We’re all the same. It’s not like plasters are invisible by being the same skin colour 😂. I’m white as a ghost and no plaster is my tone, it’s way darker, and the birth control patch which should be more concealed than a plaster is darker than a plaster . And I don’t get offended or look too much into it.
There is only one race, the human race, the sooner we realise that the better it’ll be for everyone.

No one has ever had an issue when all were treated with respect. But so far the U.S. was founded on separation and biasness. How has that gone so far?
