Yeah, you have to slow down slightly to gain speed on the mushroom or skip the corner.

It's viable for a Flap, it's not viable for a 3lap run. It's never been implemented though since it's quite difficult

Why dont you trick on the boost pads at the start, but do trick in other spots?

The boost panel lasts longer than the trick boost does, so it's irrelevant. Might be exactly equal with a delay trick, but i've never tried it. In the other spots, there's no boost panel active, so the boost you get from landing actually matters

In citra emulator. There are tools in the emulator for slowing the game down and using save states, and we also have some AR codes which makes it easier to optimize and record
