Awesome build! This was my first car, a stock '69 Camaro - I was 15 &1/2 and had just got my learners permit, my Dad took me to look at a car and he said get out it's yours!! As if that wasn't enough he told me to drive it to school which was 45 minutes away and then drive it home, and by the way, don't tell your mother. The most exciting day of my life - I could drive because my father would often let me drive to hockey practice when I was 14. I miss the car & more miss my Dad who passed away a little over a year ago.

OMG, what a great car. I have an original 69 Pace Car, 396. I am looking for a Shelby GT350, but I would much rather have you build me a '69 Camaro coupe, Lemans Blue with white lace painted stripes. That was my first car and I want it back only better.

The exhaust out of the rear valance.... the tail lights??????? Way to ruin the project.... up until then it was really a well done version of a 69 pace car. The tail lights alone was a real bad move, but the customer is king!

How did you get the rear of the convertible top boot to attach? This has always been a major problem?

I appreciate the work you guys put in, but the one thing that kind of bothers me, is you did phenomenal paint and body, but left the holes exposed of the factory 350 or 396 emblems?

Of all of the 69 Camaros to modify. The owner chooses a original pace car. That to me is insane. Why would you destroy a low production model.

      Criminal to destroy an
original classic. Why does'nt the owner just go and buy a new Camaro if that's what he wants.Dont sacrifice an original

I’m a younger guy I noticed older people are really into resto mods I don’t see a point in driving a classic car if you’re going to change the way it feels. I don’t think you need anything more than modern disk brakes and modern tires other than that I like to see period correct mods

That year camaro will never not be a gorgeous car to look at. My grandfather had a 69 camaro in the garage all while i was a kid. It was my grandmothers car and when she passed away he couldn't part with it. Yeah it was a 6 cylinder with manual drums, manual steering, crank windows of course, and aside from an aftermarket am fm radio the car was 100% factory original eith 78k on the clock. When i came home from Afghanistan the first time, the family had a get together at pops house and everyones having a good time and he comes up to me with a cd/dvd case, he was always into photography and tech so i assumed it was abunch of pictures and i open the case to see a set of gm keys. About 4 microseconds later my brain catches up to whats happening and i cant lie i cried like a child lol and so did he. He told me he wanted it taken care of and he couldnt, and then he hamds me a list of what my sweet sweet saintly grandmother wanted done to the car, yeah turns out mommom liked to go fast😅 the list had things like put a V8 in it and find brakes that will actually stop the car lol. I look at my grandad and said "it doesn't specify what kind of V8 so can i put a mopar mill in it?" He said sure youll just be written out of the will😮. I "Finished" the car in 2020 when i found myself with some extra time off for.... uhhh hmmm "reasons" and i was goi g to do the LS swap but theres a duo of engine bulders up the street from me (Burns and Yost if anyone reading is from Pennsylvania) who told me they had a bunch of late model 96-03 sbc vortec 350 blocks that theyd do a 30 thou over rebuild for 800 out the door and i couldnt say no to that. So a slightly warm 355, 5 speed WC T5, 98-02 Camaro brakes and an off brand vintage air type HVAC system with electric heat which is fucking awesome. I say done but i mean i checked off grandmoms list and im a paint and body guy so now its my area of the build to have some fun with
