While Longines lost traction for a longtime in the US and was almost forcibly overshadowed by Omega due to Swatch emulation of American automakers whereby Chevy had to be below Oldsmobile and Oldsmobile had to be below Cadillac, Longines became Swatch’s monster brand in China. Longines has again been permitted by Swatch to standout and Longines is putting out some fantastic references. As ETAs largest Swatch brand customer, Longines is accorded special status at ETA and receives Longines’ only modifications to enhance Longines movements. So a Longines ETA movement is distinct and unique from the same base movement sold to another Swatch brand or a non-Swatchbthird party.

The quality is above the cost. Well worth it
