Used one for sale on ebay now. $3400. Very nice.
Nice watch 👍. Fellow region guy here. I wanted to ask you if you have any recommendations as far as area jewelers that do watch band adjustments. I got a Casio Oceanus that’s been a nightmare to size myself and I’ve given up. It has a pin and collar system. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
@@Chris-rt8rq in. Schererville Alberts Diamond jewelers. In Valparaiso, Martin Binder AD of Rolex, Tudor, Omega and many other brands.
After three years and a half (almost) I,m still in love of my BB GMT, great watch. Enjoy and thanks for sharing.
@@Nachovalenti899 this is on par with the Rolex, accurate and dependable.
I did take a river cruse on the Creole Queen paddle wheeler. it was a great trip, if you come to New Orleans take a ride on this ship.
Oh …….what happened to the Aqua Terra 41 white dial? I thought that was a keeper for sure after you did the video on it. Yes I have that exact watch so I’m biased.
You do have the cafe car , sandwiches and snacks. Very much lower quality food.
No more dining car on the City Of New Orleans Amtrak. I call BS on this decision.
Sad. Train travel in the U.S. used to be a treat. It is still a treat in Alaska and parts of Canada. The experience of fine leisurely dining while the scenery passed by was something you could not achieve by plan or vehicle.
@@h111551 two years ago this was the case for this train, now we are eating sandwiches and chips.
Did you sell the Seiko king turtle? I saw it was your favorite watch last year. I am seriously considering buying one as my next watch.
@@deanP. yes I sold it to reduce my watch collection to a practical level. It is a great watch
Amazing watch 👌🏼
@@fuad-topic5155 thank you
Thanks for sharing this info. I dont bave an Omega yet but hopefully in the future. That is a grest looking watch
Outside of the Riverwalk mall by the convention center.
Nice. I'm glad it is working great for you.
Canada still waiting list
It’s a shitter
The best part of traveling with my Tudor GMT was the jumping date. Never knowing what the day is was always a treat when traveling.
@@jjlad5037 agreed
Are you going out on a fishing boat?
No probably a paddle wheeler to the battle field for the battle of New Orleans.
It's not Realy You Have Pay When You Get The Watch
I think the wait list wheather or not its artificial really sucks but I would rather wait for a new, real watch with authentic parts inside than get bent over on the grey market price wise and possibly getting something thats not up to par
great collection! :D
34 mm is in 2024 also good!
I don't see how Rolex boutiques survive when they never have the watches that most buyers want. Maybe they are allowed to lose money and is considered part of their advertising expenses. I love watches and appreciate Rolex but I would never pay a premium, certainly not for pre-owned. I'm 52 now, in my 40's I planned to buy a Rolex when I turned 50. I ended up buying a Zenith. I just don't think I would be comfortable wearing a Rolex. Not because I'm worried about getting robbed, just because of the pretentiousness I think it projects. A Rolex is as much of a status symbol as it is a high quality watch. And I'm definitely not comfortable wearing a status symbol.
SMH. Jewelry store games... We all work hard for our money and luxury purchases deserve luxury experiences. The AD landscape needs to be drastically revamped IMO. I've since moved onto other brands. There is ALOT of options out there for your hard earned money.
I do not need Rolex, I have Omega!!
I like the ocean rover 2 more than any sub ive ever seen
In Sweden, it's still impossible to get a stainless steel sports model with any predictable wait-time accuracy.
Best
Enjoyed your video. I'm at 14 months now and at a steady weight of 177 from 205. My heaviest was 265, but before Carnivore I had been fasting twice per week and that took the first 60 lbs. off. I've been more concerned with being too light as I'm just over 6 ft. Like both of the other comments below, maybe a little fasting may be in order to help push your body a little bit. I'm only eating about one meal per day, some days 1 meal and a small meat snack if I'm really hungry. By the way, how tall are you? I didn't catch it in the video if you did mention it. No matter what, you're better off than you were before. Stick with it and I'm sure the extra weight will eventually come off. Good luck to you.
5 foot 9 inches tall , feeling much better
Hello friend, I found your channel through the watch stuff but I've started keeping up with your carnivore diet over the past couple days. I would suggest eating only dinner for a few days out of the week. I lost 20 pounds pretty quick over the past month or two by just cutting down on how much I eat. (Also avoiding sugar) That aside, you should be very proud of yourself for having lost so much weight. Im sure your family appreciates that you are taking care of yourself. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the suggestions
I would recommend an extended fast. For me it usually helps me out of the ditch so to speak.
sounds like a good way to do a reset
Thanks for posting. You look great!
Great job!! Keep on keeping on.
I refuse to be a butt licker. The only thing you'll have to say when someone say something nice about your watch ....oh thanks....it took me 2 years and my self-esteem to get it.
On the list for a stainless steel Daytona, picking it up in 40 years😊
I’ve tried twice. Was put on the “waitlist” and took forever. Had them take me off both times and got an Omega and Tudor instead
I don't get the hype of Rolex. There are other brands that are just as good, if not better than Rolex, with no waiting lists. Some day I think the masses will come to realize this. Just an opinion.
Have you owned a Rolex?
No but I have several friends that do.
For me it's the style and finish Rolex has that others don't. Function wise I would agree
@@50calpulse76 You have a point. Just saw a man on an airplane that was wearing a Rolex Explorer and there was something special about it. That being said, I still can't see myself spending over 10K on a watch.
In India its still pretty bad. You still have to go through the "get x and we'll get you the Rolex" shenanigans.
@@dietcokepapii so sorry to hear this. No wonder the gray market is going so strong.
Been fortunate in Vegas and received a bluesey and a Guinness after 2 month waits respectively, but i live here and their preference ive been told is locals. Im a collector and despise flippers.
I've been waiting for an Explorer II for over 2 years. During this time I have discovered many other great brands. Glashutte Original, Oris, Ball, Rado, Omega, and Tudor to name a few. I may never get an Explorer II but there are plenty of other great watches to enjoy.
Me and my brother ordered 2 rolexes last december and i’m still waiting they said 1 of the 2 watches we ordered would be ready for us to take it last month but it still didn’t come about
The world is gone bigger last years... 1 Mio watches in 1 year... More customers... P. S. Received my seadweller this Tuesday with luck from my ad. Greetings from Germany
After a year of waiting, I told them to take me off the list. Not interested anymore.
what a waste. half way.
Chinese are into the automatic watches especially Longines , I’ve had a about 6 Rolexes I get on well with my AD ,it must be hard for people trying to get their first Rolex plus there’s a lot of snobbery with AD stockists,I’m moving away from Rolex as there are far better watches out there and no waiting lists ,all the best guys from Scotland
Chinese people in general are very "show - offy " so my guess is that they will not stop buying. I asked a Chinese Man who was visiting California what he thought of other brands such as Breitling and while he thought they were great timepieces. he indicated to me that if you bought one and returned to work in one of the major city you would be absolutely lambasted for not getting a Rolex ,
So you can buy a better watch, but the buyers in China are so uneducated about watches they don’t understand is what you’re saying?
not at all - there are Chinese watch fans of horology but they represent an extremely small percentage of the people buying Rolex who are doing so as a status symbol and have no more idea what a column wheel chronograph is as they do a cam version ..... as I said they are EXTREMELY concerned about status ..... as I said this is what they told me first hand and this is what dealers have to me also
Yep, can’t even get an OP. Getting tired of these waiting lists.
I don't like that their production is going to increase so much. My local AD has a 2 tone mens datejust and a couple precious metal watches available, as well as a couple ladies datejust models available. Thats about it. They said demand is increasing for the sports models. I've been waiting for a green op 36 or 41 for a year now.
Still waiting for a no date sub in Florida it’s been just about 11 months
what ad?
The joy of waiting and patience 😅
Might as well get one on the secondary for a little more. You could have been enjoying it for 11 months 🤷🏻♂️
@@xekret definitely could have with the prices. Personally I just want to be the first owner and get it through the AD. I did think I would have it much sooner but it what it is
@@kylepinner I get that. Best of luck and hopefully you are not waiting by this time around next year.
Im on waitlist for No date Sub in Seattle
Let me know how long it takes you. I got mine from the Ben Bridge downtown by westlake. No date sub. Took me three months.
I am on a waiting list here in the Midwest USA. I will fill you in on my progress or lack of progress.
Same here. I got super lucky in Utah with a gold sea dweller and since I’m a big guy 6’3 250 lbs athletic = it looks normal sized on me and I’m in love it with . However, I still want a bat girl sprite or Bruce Wayne lol
@@Behemoth66 hi I'm exactly the same 6 ft 4 and have 8 1/2 inch wrist size so the bi metal sea dweller looks great I'm in the UK it took 18 months before I could get one from the ad hoping to get an explorer 2 next and then a green basil submariner .

While Rolex makes excellent watches (I own the OP Date Just two tone and have owned the Platinum bezeled Yacht-Master I), the more one delves into watches the more irrelevant Rolex becomes even if available at MRSP. To put up with nonsense in order to put a Rolex on one’s wrist in a timely fashion and without paying a premium is not rationale when one can buy many great and interesting watches for far less. Sinn has been owned by Lothar Schmidt for the last 30 years who was the founding technical director at A. Lange. Look at the range and specifications of the tool watches Sinn offers for a fraction of what people pay for their Rolex (if they can even get one). While Sinn uses third party movements, they do not just slap them in. Like many German makers, Sinn makes enhancements to these movements. There are many other fine brands and even independents (RGM in the U.S. and Brellum in Switzerland for example) who provide interesting and durable horology for price points under Rolex. With Rolex producing from 800,000 to 1,200,000 watches per year (their silly secretiveness keeps the exact number a mystery), Rolex is not a real luxury brand but more like Lexus which sells an excellent car but one which is more or less a gussied up Toyota offered at an enhanced price. New Tudors at $4000 with the MT in-house movements which are made under the aegis of a jointly owned Rolex/Breitling/Kenissi venture have most of the features and aesthetics of many Rolexes at a much fairer price with good availability. The whole Rolex phenomenon in the end is mostly a demonstration of the gullibility of consumers.
