Fire Sparked By Gender Reveal Continues to Burn On Third Day, Threatening Homes

- The "El Dorado" fire in the Yucaipa area has charred over 10,500 acres as it fiercely burns through the hills near Yucaipa, CA. The fire has affected the Oak Glen and Forest Falls areas and has burnt several structures, forcing hundreds to evacuate their homes. Aircraft and ground crews are diligently battling the flames to reduce the spread of the flames. Law enforcement and Fire officials confirmed the fire was sparked by a pyrotechnic smoke machine at a gender reveal party. As of early Tuesday morning, officials stated that the fire is 16% contained. Video is from the third day of the fire.

I think the people who start the fires should get life in prison if lives are lost, including animal lives. A life sentence if homes are destroyed, and they cannot pay the home owners back.
I disagree. I'm angry but they shouldn't go to prison forever over this. It wasn't done maliciously. It truly was a very stupid mistake. To me, life in prison is for people who kill intentionally with no remorse.

I sure am. I had to evacuate when me and my family where on vacation for a day and we literally have to go buy clothes and diapers and wipes all over again when we just did it a week ago. And I'm the middle of a pandemic? Me and my man are about to lose all of our savings on a hotel and car rentals and food. It's disgusting.
This situation should be left up to the investigators and court system not you or no one else, I do understand that it's a huge loss of folk's lives and that very disturbing and sad for them I don't deny that but it has to be investigated,,, as other folks has made horrible comments about an unborn innocent baby that's a very sick way of thinking!!! I do feel bad for any loss people have had but It's got to be handled properly!

The same thing happened to a dad in Nevada or Arizona. They attached bags of a kind of colored powder that happens to be highly flammable, to a target. He took his shotgun and shot the bags. Blue smoke with instant flames everywhere. It started a forest fire and he has to pay 8.1 million.

Poor California. We get huge fires like this every year in the Fall either from lightening, arson or several other reasons. But we are strong and will get through it! 😊

As horrifying and devastating as it is to witness this, or to be an innocentvictimas a resultofthe fires.......I can't imagine the fear remorse and utter despair I would feel knowing my actions were the cause of such irreparable loss. If that couple has an ounce of conscientiousness I would imagine that they are in agony. I would be. I hope their public shame is heartfelt and I hope we as a community of God fearing Christians can pray over them and their victims, including the loss of land wildlife and resources. Nothing can be undone. Our anger is justified. Our hearts demand reckoning. And yet, my compassionate grief reminds me that I too am a sinner. Surely they're in agony, and what a curse for what could've been a beautiful thing.
