*I had one of these before and it lasted many years and I used it a lot. It blends **MyBest.Kitchen** chops ,grates. Does most anything you would want to use it for. A lot of bang for your buck. A litlle loud however it so fast it is not bothersome.*
This is incorrect procedure. As per the official vitamix socket replacement documentation, the socket should NOT be tight. There actually needs to be some vertical play. You need to turn till it is completely tight and then reverse 1/4 turn. Upvote so others can see. If you do what is in the video you can damage your machine
Hi thank you for your feedback, in all honesty the replacement part that I used was not an official Vitamix part. Secondly when I took off the old part the setscrew was completely tight and it was no vertical movement at all.
I have a vitamix, I also have a fake vitamix that was 90 Cdn , that I have had for 2 years and use twice a day. That motor smell is common in new blender motors, including vitamix and disappears after a short while. So while the fake one might not be the choice for nut butters etc, it works perfect for smoothies
Was the inner square shaft that the old and new part fit onto completely square sided? Mine looked like maybe the allen screw had cut a recess all the way around it.
I have a pro 750, removed screw but the coupler is on SOLID, I have bent metal tools trying to pry it off, it's a no go unless anyone has a special trick for me, I have grabbed it with pliers which tore up the plastic and still didn't move it one tiny bit
I actually couldn’t see what you did on the video! 😆 the camera wasn’t focused on the middle bit! Do you think you could video removing that round plug again? Also I have a Q- don’t know if you can help…that driver thing on my professional 750 is jammed down. So if I turn it on, it’s locked down so won’t turn so then it just burns. I can’t afford a new one and would like to fix it but I presume I’m going to have to do some investigation. Do you have any ideas?
It could be one of two things, the first one is the nut that holds the blade could be loose. The second thing it could be is the setscrew that holds the coupler to the motor shaft could be loose or missing causing it not to turn, it can be easily checked by turning the machine on without the jug on top and looking to see if the hub spins.
The simplest things can be the biggest obstacle sometimes.. I've got a 6300 and can't find the part number so I can replace it. I've googled the model a hundred different ways and can't find it anywhere. When you say, "you just have to look it up" -- Where? I've looked on Vitamix's website as well: no part numbers for anything. Guess they don't want you doing it yourself. The part I'm looking for isn't a drive coupler, its the potentiometer..
You probably figured it out by now, but I will answer for someone who might want to know in the future. Carefully remove the little plug with your fingernail and put it aside to put back in after you are done. I initially thought it looked like someone put hot glue on my machine, but discovered in another video that it is supposed to be there to keep the drive clean.
I HAVE AN AVAMIX 2100E THAT MY SON BOUGHT ME DEC 2019. LAST WEEK THE BLADE WOULD NOT SPIN THE COUPLER WHERE THE SCREW GOES IN ,WAS WADDlled out. I installed a new coupler.,Tightened the screw down and it seemed the new coupler was not as tight on the housing as it should have been. HOW CAN THE CENTER SCREW BE TIGHTENED ENOUGH TO STOP THE WOBBLE? AVAMIX IS NOT VITAMIX! ALSO THE SUPPLIER CHARGED FOR 2, WHEN WE ORDERED ONLY 1.
Would it have been too hard to have someone hold your camera? The actual loosening couldn't even be seen. 3 1/2 minutes of nonsense leading up to invisible removal.

Dude! I got a little seasick from all the camera movement.😅 But I did learn what I needed to know. Thank you!

This peace fits mostly all Vitamix models, except the first ones
I am going to try fixing my vitamin that I paid a lot of money years ago. I hope to get it done right. Thank you for your video.
Thank you very much ! God bless you !! America First!!

Are you kidding me? He missed the most critical part of the video by pointing his camera away 🙄😂

Any idea on why this part is ground down? I replaced the same part but it is rubbing and smells like burning plastic.
Wow thanks I think I got it working thanks for your video showing how to fix it with a cover on
como cambiar la cuchilla del vaso de la licuadora, cuando la uso sale un polvillo como axidado, ayuda! me encanta mi licuadora. gracias...
Super helpful thank you!
Thank you!
Did you watch the video before posting on YT?... The camera was pointing elsewhere on the most important parts of the video.
😂 just do it like this. Get it
What is the possibility it’s not the gear but the base of the blade?

Thanks alot 👍
Where did you buy your parts. I need to replace mine. Amazon?
Amazon is where I found mine.
Question.. can you oil the gears to make them last longer?
Hello sir, I have a Drink Machine Vita Mix VMO 104 model want to change the drive socket and blade too, so please tell me where I will get it.
This video is a life saver!! Thanks so much for this!!

Thank you! You help me at my job!
What if the hole where you put the Allen wrench has like some kind of rubber substance blocking the hole?

What size Allen key?
5/64
You need a camera tripod.
Will this fix a wobbly, noisy drive coupler?
thank you
very helpful, thank you
I was making a smothie bowl for 5 people in the a2500 and the bottom of the socket split in half.
Same here. I paid $17.00 even for 2 kits on Amazon Found others for as much as $38.00
Size of the tool?
For my Vitamix Barboss VMO100a the Allen Key 5/64ths.
Thank you! I already fixed mine. You were very helpful
My VitaMix 5000 & 5300 needed 5/64 Allen wrenches (hex keys) also.
Yes sir how to repair electronic side
The parts are expensive!!😱 i thought I was gonna spend $10-$15 wow
arinic7 It’s a $350 machine and the original costs about $38 on Amazon but the knock off sells for $12-$20 on Amazon and works just as well.

Dude This video is not helping at all. All critical parts were missed
You can buy a new Biolomix T5200 with 75$ and it works even better than Vitamix
Your video is so bad, you aren't showing important parts 😟
