To everyone comparing their horses to these: don't. Police horses have way more training and desensitasion than a normal horse would get. It's not logical to compare the two.
Just about everywhere the horses are pre-select in order to ensure proper temperament for the task at hand so that even includes canine prospects. Look in Mexico they have both kennels AND stables that raise these animals for a variety of assignments that will eventually come to pass!
