  • A demonstration of Versus Mode gameplay on the Game Gear port of Pac-Attack (a.k.a. Pac-Panic).
The Game Boy version (and Game Boy Color version included with Pac-Man Special Color Edition) of Pac-Attack did not seem to have Versus Mode included, meaning the Game Gear port was the only portable option for Versus Mode Pac-Attack.
Differences from the console versions include the lack of Versus Mode music (it instead re-uses the Normal Mode music), the amount of games aiming for a best of of five instead of a best out of three, and the animated sprites of Blinky in the corner that indicate what's happening in the game, which are rather reminiscent of Puyo Puyo / Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. Also unlike the console versions, Sue (purple) appears to be absent, and both players are represented by Blinky (red).
This footage was recorded using Retrocopy, which is the only Game Gear emulator capable of emulating two Game Gears connected via the Gear-to-Gear Link Cable. This emulator also happens to be nearly a decade out of date. Considering the amount of Game Gear emulators in existence, as well as the amount of Game Boy emulators with Link Cable support, this is rather concerning.

I would avoid the Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advances versions of Pac-Attack because the Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance versions of Pac-Attack do not have 2-player modes.
