We completely understand your excitement! Robert Tonner's collection of dolls is truly remarkable, and we're in awe of his talent and creativity. It's amazing to think about the dolls he has in his storage and the stories they hold. We appreciate your kind words and share your admiration for Robert's incredible work.
I love Robert, he is so down to earth, and an amazing talent. I have some of his DeJaVu dolls, and Evangeline dolls. I have been desiring some Ellowyn dolls for awhile, and can't wait to see what is next. Great video wallk down memory lane
Thrilled to hear you enjoyed seeing the collaboration! It's a real joy when two people passionate about dolls get to share that love. Thank you for your kind words and for being part of this wonderful community! 😊
I would love to see more of the prototypes and designs that didn't make it to production! Like the Downton Abbey sculpts?! Wow! I'm always interested in the design process and why something moves forward in a different form than the original concept, or having that sneak peek of something we never knew about. Thanks for pulling this together and reminding me to go back and rewatch!
We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the video and are interested in seeing more of the prototypes and designs that didn't make it to production. The design process is indeed fascinating, and we appreciate your curiosity about the decisions behind different forms and concepts. We'll definitely keep your suggestion in mind for future content. It's always exciting to share sneak peeks and behind-the-scenes insights. Thank you for your support and for taking the time to watch and engage with our videos!
So very much enjoyed watching this one. The first time I met Robert I was like Lucy Ricardo scoping out William Holden in "L.A. at Last". Just a bit gob smacked and embarrassed of my reaction. And no matter how approachable and dear and warm he is, he is a STAR to me. It was on the sales floor of a UFDC convention, and he asked me what dolls of his I liked best (at the time) and it was the 18" Kitty Collier. He said I must like the 50's fashions. I do. Very much, which is why I love dressing Cissy. It wasn't until I saw the video of his "treasure cave" that I learned how much he truly loved the 50's fashions, too. Love Robert Tonner. Forever Robert! (I'd still be shy around him.)
So many fond memories for sure - I love those clips and it's making me very excited for Robert Tonner's visit this time. I love this community and I'm so glad to be a part of it. Also, thanks for spreading the fun out for the month of June. I look forward to seeing everything! Thanks Rachel and All!
Thank you for your wonderful comment! We're thrilled to hear that you have fond memories and are excited for Robert Tonner's upcoming visit. We appreciate your support and are grateful to have you as a part of our community. We have a lot in store for you, and we can't wait to share it all with you. Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm!
Another wonderful video. The clothes are so stunning.Sadly my old heavy duty, all metal Singer was dropped during our last move and damaged. There used to be a sewing store which did repairs in our area, but they closed down. I could sew everything from fine silk gauze to heavy canvas on that machine. Had a beautiful, reliable stitch.
So much fun with Robert Tonner! I wish I had a spare body to use to mock up patterns with ❤ I would totally buy a few bodies if that was ever an option. I dont know if I could ever use a pen on them even if they were just strictly pattern bodies😱
Watching this reminds me of how much fun Ellowyne is to play with. Baroque "N Dreams is my absolute favorite Ellowyne, but she taught me a powerful lesson. I value my dolls for their playability, and beautiful hairstyles are impossible from to play with. I am always so worried I will mess them up and be unable to fix them. The Ellowyne and Lizette I got (and kept) both have wigs and I get a lot more play value from them. I even sent Ellowyne out to a doll artist who cut open her head and gave her glass eyes!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! We're glad to hear that you enjoy playing with your Ellowyne dolls, particularly Baroque "N Dreams, which is your favorite. It's understandable to feel cautious about handling and styling their beautiful hairstyles. We are thankful you enjoyed this video and that you are here to enjoy our event!
I still have my Sweet Sue,Toni and Patsy from my childhood. I enjoyed the pattern making video evey time I see it. I recognize many of the pictures on his walls. I see my Toni doll in the green dress.
Totally gobsmacked! Wow! You can't just comment on one or two, there's so much and all so fabulous! I'm so curious about these dolls I've never heard of before like Laura Ashley. When he mentioned testifying in the Blythe and Barbie case and explaining what he knows about dolls in two hours can you imagine being there? Oh, I'd drink in every word! And the Downton Abbey dolls, what a shame. A loss for the doll community. When you think about it, so many gorgeous series being streamed right now would make amazing dolls and collections like Bridgerton, Game Of Thrones, Downton Abbey, Outlander, and more. Rachel, your love and admiration for Robert Tonner is what we share with you and so wonderful we can be a part of this and get to know him and immerse ourselves in this fabulous world of dolls with you. It's so exciting to be a part of this through your Virtual Doll Convention and Tonner Fest!! Thank you so much Rachel for all you do for us in the doll community and Robert, we love you and appreciate you so much! You're amazing! ❤❤❤
I can't even reattach a button convincingly, so the pattern making was way over my head, but enjoyable nonetheless, as was this entire video. Thank you!
Thank you for watching our video and sharing your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed it, even if some aspects like pattern making felt a bit challenging. Don't worry, sewing skills can always be developed with practice and patience. That said, I know exactly how you feel because I am the same way with sewing! We appreciate your support and hope to bring you more enjoyable content in the future.
I have quite a few Sweet Sue's. My favorite is the first Sweet Sue with the crooked lip paint. I have an Effanbee 19" Schiaparelli Honey in a yellow chiffon gown and a beautiful 16" Tintair Honey.
Rachel, I am so looking forward to watching Tonner Fest 2023😃😃💯💯!! I am so happy that I was finally able to register for Robert Tonner Fest just a little while ago😃😃💖💖💖💖💖!!! And I so enjoyed watching Robert Tonner's personal Doll Collection with my favorites being the Revlon Doll❤❤ with the Revlon clone dress and Kissy with her chubby legs💙💙!! And it is a shame that Robert Tonner did not make Dowton Abbey Dolls because he is such an outstanding Doll Artist. However, Robert Tonner has made some stunningly gorgeous Dolls!! My favorites are Ellowyne and Neema!! In this video of Robert Tonner Dolls, my I really LOVED the Ellowyne @27:40 with her luxurious long blonde wavy hair and stunningly red dress❤❤, Basic Neema with her lavender jumper💜💜 with white stripes and her white sandals, and Prue's beautiful 2 tone pink and purple party dress💖💜💖💜💖!!! And I also LOVE Neema in her pillow case cocktail dress💜💜💜!! Thank you so much for sharing Robert Tonner's talents with us and I am so excited to learn more about Robert Tonner's Dolls😃😃👍👍👍👍👍!!!!
I love all your work and the way you give us the courage to do what we like regardless of what others think of us, plus the videos are very instructive. I admire the work of Robert Tonner and when I discovered your video I was delighted, I recently got Heather from the magic attic series, she's beautiful, I hope in the future I can acquire Ellowyne or Neema
Thank you for the kind words! It's truly special to know that the content encourages and inspires you to embrace your passions wholeheartedly. Hello Rachel Hoffman Dolls My Name is Erin Scott and I love your videos and I love baby dolls
Love this so much! Rachel, thank you for providing us with an opportunity to stay connected with Robert and his dolls and for creating this fun event!
That video is one of my favs to watch too❤
Thank you for this video! I use a few Tonner Dolls as characters in my stop motion videos. They pose so well!

I always thought "Why doesn't Robert Tonner make Downton Abby dolls?". Now I know. I surely would've bought them if he had!
I would have bought them, too!!
It is fun to revisit these videos. Thanks so much. Rachel, can you tell me what date the Neemas will go on sale?
