If you get bit by them, just wash the wound (correct statement, wash it and watch for any adverse reactions) Apparently they are very slightly venomous. Yes! I was giggling at Raptor's utter failure to jump onto his owner's leg with that first leap. Also, Raptor's front legs look too big in that "growing teenaged boy" way that sometimes happens, so that makes him look even more awkward and therefore even cuter!

And I love Wrgus monitors but they just get too big and sadly they're is no monitor really that has that classic monitor face and stays that size except a blue/green tree monitor. And even then they need BIIIIIG cages because they're arboreal...the problems of loving monitors. May I suggest a Tegu?
